And yes cycles have always interested me.. Just like when I was a 'kid' and didn't know how to moderate alcohol and continually ending up drinking myself sick. Next day or two it's always "never again", then a couple weeks later, right back in it lol. Have to constantly be reminded of the consequences or something. As for Nokia, no people found that steel actually makes a better hammer. So we've pretty much switched to that.

Oh wow, I guess I didn't fully comprehend what was going on with FF14. I thought they were just changing some game mechanics and resetting everyone to day one. I didn't realize they were actually... well... blowing up the world from the looks of it.
I guess that means if I ever come back to the game I won't get to meet the hot booty-shorts chick in the woods again eh? booty shorts chick? gdi now I wanna see but the servers are off :|
They aren't resetting everyone it's going to basically be we start with what we have in a new world (well same world, but it's going to look different) so uh is it ever explained why the heck there is a dog soul reaper in Bleach? lol
I'm really conflicted. I want to like 14, I really do... Next time I go back is the last, I've given that game soooooooo much of my time already and this will be it's third chance (for me).
On the other hand, SE has seemed really weak overall as of lately, and I really have my doubts that they can fix it. The fact that it went through open beta to release and is now being re-released is in and of itself pretty evident that I'm not the only one who's really trying and hoping to make this game work, there is obviously still plenty of interest in it or they'd likely scrap the whole damn thing (or one would hope)... Do I give the game it's last shot after what they consider to be the overhaul, or do I wait years and hope they finally got it right by then. As much I like to hate on ffxiv sometimes (cause i dont want them to abandon ffxi) that vid brought tears to my eyes.

I dunno what you are talking about, I am genuinely looking forward to "FFXIII-2.5 Lightning Chronicles 3: A Storm is Brewing". HOLY CRAP I HAD TO POST BECAUSE OF 14... THE FEELS! OMG THAT WAS SO AWESOME (caps intentional for my screaming my feels! omg such a beautiful cut scene trailer they relased at midnight)
