Thought I was going to have to send my Wii in for repairs earlier. Yesterday during the thunderstorm the power flickered on and off a lot, like enough to make everything go nuts. Anyway, today I noticed the power light on my Wii wasn't on and it wouldn't come on at all.
Now I didn't think it had become victim to a surge given it's plugged into a really good surge protector/power strip, but there is always that bit of worry. After some fiddling around I decided to just unplug it completely for a while (was getting ready to start boxing it up), and later on when I was fixing to put it in the box I decided "what the hell, might as well try it one more time." So I plugged it back up and voila it works!
That was the highlight of my day. How is everyone else doing?

lol that reminds me i need to pick up vol 2 DvD of Adventure Time
This guy thinks aliens came to Earth and encoded a message in our DNA, perhaps to our earliest ancestors (such as the rodent like creatures that survived the death of the dinosaurs) for us to figure out once we were smart enough to decipher the code..
I can't believe I'd ever have to say this, but I'd have a much easier time taking the Aliens dude seriously..

he's not prominently on TV or mainstream internet. that's why.
If I recall, the Aliens guy never actually mentioned Aliens in that interview he was in. I could be way off base here, but that's just something I've heard. But as with most Memes, it's not about what they say or represent, but how they appear. And with that guy, his hair looks like that weird dude from Babylon 5
and he has this oblivious look of insanity. That's just like the Nicolas Cage one running around. I watched the video where he acts in that scene, and not once does he say, "You don't say?".
No that Aliens dude is pretty crazy.. I mean there was a documentary he was on that I watched WELL before the show or meme was made.. I laughed at him even then.. The meme is fitting, every 'unexplainable' man-made (or things that have 'man-made qualities') thing he attributes to Aliens. A lot of the things that he finds unexplainable can be explained, with a much simpler and far more logical answer (sorry I can't remember any exact quotes) than 'aliens did it'... But that's just his answer to everything..
Is it difficult to think ancient man created the Nazca lines, Stonehenge or The Pyramids (in the time it was done in)? Yes.. Is it more logical that Aliens did it? No.. The only one that gives me pause is the Nazca Lines.. It's the flat mountain tops that get me.. I've never actually heard an explanation of how the mountains just got that 'top sheared off' appearance, or if it can be explained through natural forces... I haven't put extensive search into them or anything, but they come up frequently, and they're always described the same way..
I saw a documentary that talked about the nazca lines and the people who are from that area showed that the people who did it had a pretty advanced measuring system that allowed them to create straight lines
Didn't he pay attention in school? How did he graduate? <.< that 'quantum leap' was called farming (agriculture).. lol.. The Nile allowed them to build the huge settlements that eventually lead to the huge monuments.

Yeah, but leveling an entire mountain top? I mean c'mon.. The tops the Nazca Lines are cut in, are huuuuuuuuge.. Building up is a lot easier than tearing down, at least as far as manpower and time are concerned. I'm not sitting here going 'Aliens' but it does give me pause.. That's a lot of rock to level, never mind the removing part.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
