If you like RTS/TBS games, you'll most likely like it (it's not really a RTS or TBS [I wouldn't call it one anyways] but it shares a lot of similarities)

Think of the main bad *** asset in any RTS/TBS that you use (only one I can think of off the top of my head is Tanya in Command and Conquer) take away (control of) the pawns and that's basically LoL, except it's against other people doing the same.

There's a bunch of different champions, each has their strengths and weaknesses, these are the units you control (but only one in any match) and you also level them up and enhance their abilities (as well as buy gear/weapons to enhance your stats) as the match goes on.

i've tried quite a few f2p mmos, and the majority of them are pretty crap =/

the only one i stuck around on for any length of time was aika, i made it to 50 on rifleman, but it was super ultra pvp centric and the leveling curve was rediculous 50+
