Echoing what Zahrahy said, figure out your living expenses and how thats going to work out.

Have a back up plan(ie a way to get back home) should the need arise.

Do it if you can! The experience is invaluable, but I hope it's a definite position. I hope you'll make what you're worth though.

I was actually going through a similar situation this summer. I wasn't offered a job. I just had the impulse to pull up stakes when I was in critical meltdown mode. I started researching CoL and what I was worth in CO, CA, and WA. I don't know what I was thinking. Especially with CA (no offense, Yomi). Yeah...Research it though.
