Well, if you don't continue reading the best suggestion I can give you is
Spark Notes or
Wikipedia, but, in my experience, teachers/professors will usually try to cover those bases. Has your teacher already lectured, or is she/he waiting to do it progressively to see who's reading and who isn't?
