My biggest gripe with ai art is I do not get rewarded buy actually looking at the piece closely.
In human art there are little details that are really rewarding to the viewer when you look closely at a piece, when you do this with ai art you just get disappointment, you find dumb errors, for example on the prishe art her head gear has a bunch of asymmetries and one sleeve has a gold detail that the other doesn't, similarly on the arciela image she has a sleeve on one side but not the other, the bracers are different colors, her skirt has details on one side but not the other. And all that doesn't even get into the actual deviation from the source like the skirt design or how her gear is actually designed
I find all of these "errors" ridiculous but I also know most people only look at an image for a few seconds at most and don't even care about the little details I love to look for in art.
Precisely this. Also, art is a form human expression - the effort one puts to make something magical, extraordinary and unique.
Doesn't apply to a lazy and talentless person using prompts...
Hopefully the media is actually designed for that, with the wall content just being accent bits rather than details you need to look closely at. It'd be impossible to keep a good view of most of the wall, especially for seats closer to the front.
Currency trading has always seemed like a crazy market, like transferring funds from currency A to B when the exchange rate is high meaning for ever A you get 2 B, then exchanging back when the exchange rate drops for every A you get 1.5 B
so your original amount of A -> B -> A nets you 50% more A, obviously you have to transfer from a currency whose value is going to drop or to a currency whose value will increase :D or both if you are really lucky.
It just always seemed wild to me that you are making money without doing any work, no tangible good or service.
That's how the stock market works too. Buy good news sell bad news, do nothing, make money.
Yeah i get that but somehow it feels even weirder when your betting on the value of actual currency over a companies performance or the price of oranges tomorrow.
Betting on the stability of a country or betting on the stability of a company.
*** up but shouldn't feel any different. Rooting for and/or against an entities stability. Microsoft as a concept is the same as Uganda. Just a thing that exists to extract profit from.
Most stock trading companies forbid the use of the word "betting" to describe what they do. In theory there is some algorithm that decides when and how much to trade, not a human saying I bet this stock does this.

Seeing as how most of the world's currency is backed by nothing save promises it might help to look at currency as a commodity.
I personally think digital currencies are far weirder than currency trading.

Just your brain trying to talk you into it or out of the guilt of it.
Participating in currency or stock trading isn't something to feel guilty about. Every person who loses money so your investment can gain money was initially invested on the premise they would gain at your loss. Unless you're treating it like gambling and risking money you can't afford to risk behind your family's back, no guilt needed.
Short term stock trading indeed has tons of luck element involved. But in my region every stock trade has tax that comes with it. So at least frequent traders are gambling, paying tax and contribute in the society on the same time.
There is really nothing to feel guilty about stock trading. Our government actually encourage(kinda) people participate in stock market because tax and government pension money all comes from stock trading. So it's win win situation that people wants to participate in this game.
My wife has gotten me hooked on Stardew Valley. I was in the middle of replaying KOTOR 1, and then the Oblivion Remaster came out, but my wife wanted me to play Stardew Valley...
And it's kinda cute and quirky in all the right ways. Feeling very ADHD for gaming atm.
Trying to play FFXI everyday and still meet the goals I aspire to there. Still having great funs in Packets LS. Brother and me's Sortie duoing has turned into 4 people suddenly. I think they'll leave once they get used to Sortie again. 20~24k runs again yay
Manaan and Korriban to do still in KOTOR. Which also means Rakata and Leviathan and Star Forge as well. I wish I could take my whole crew along at the same time heh.
Oblivion remaster going swimmingly. It's kind of a long game, and I kind of think it'll take a good bit to finish. Especially because I seem to be addicted to giving Diamonds to Stardew Valley citizens. I'm up to 3 girlfriends now and wondering when that'll come crashing down.
Then there's that new Expedition 33 game that I might pick up. Birthday is Saturday(well actually Friday but celebrating Saturday). Gonna force my wife to watch X-Files with me for most of it, I think.
We'd started watching them years ago, but she claimed it was giving her nightmares after some of the grittier episodes like the incest family. But kinda feel like since she had me start watching Supernatural within a month of putting down X-Files and her "nightmares" didn't go away, that she was just juking me into Supernatural. Well, we finished Supernatural like two months ago now, so it's X-Files time, damn it!
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
