Not wanting to start a questionable topic, but one thing I noticed is that most complains about child labor is related to bad conditions at the work.

And there is nothing wrong with that. But bad conditions isnt specific to child, but none should work in a place poorly maintained or subjected to overwork. intense pressure, abusive relationships, etc.

But I wonder where are those child labor laws when we see some underage person working as an actor/actress. Or when its a sportist like a footballer, that here starts working like at 12y. They are hired to major clubs under 18. How many youtubers and tiktokers are hosted by children? Arent those considered some sort of work? Are they donig those shits for free?

Im totally against involving a child in an adult environment. But I also I think the hypocrisy doesnt help

The answer to everything. Safety. Health. Dignity. Morals. Ethics. Age. All take second place to cash.
(Unless someone is paying you more money, or it is costing you more money, to not place them second)

Every second of a humans life is transactional; What's in it for me, what will it cost me, what happens if I dont. Your brains run cost:benefit analysis 100% of the time.

Some of us do charity / selfless acts, of course, but only after your brain subconsciously decides it's acceptable as a time loss, or what benefits there are.

The other day I watched a video analysing the downfall of Gohan from DB

I couldnt help but feel really sorry for Gohan, as he was probably the second more invested character in the series, worked to the bone to become the next sucessor of the series, only to get to the point where the baton was passed but... Toriyama felt like he meet the expectations and was cowardly dismissed during Buu saga.

From being merciless one shooted by fat buu, to being deserved only 5 pages of fight against third Buu (and being severly beaten OFF SCREEN - didnt even deserved to be drawn in the comics) then dying in the explosion of the earth.

I mean, not every child can met the parents expectations. But they still deserve love and respect. And while not protagonist material, Gohan was surely loved by most, nothing justify how poorly he developed during the last Z arc

Well, finished Star Ocean First Departure R in short longer than 27h.

It was a decent trip.

Story wise, nothing too crazy for todays standard, still it worked well due to charismatic characters. The Private Actions though very time consuming and tiresome, worked really well to deepen the relationship between player and the cast.

Battle-wise it was interesting. Despite being a very old game, it did really great with the skill system allowing a lot of room to early improvement. Those came in handy with some of the spike in difficult games send to players. The second spike made me grind my skills what made me marathon this part. After a couple of hours of improvement, my characters reached the broken level, and manage to complete all till the very last dungeon for the last spike.

Looking forward for the second part

NYYC Retired their 2020 America's Cup Contender, Patriot, today. She served well, had some brilliant moments, but in the end shared a problem that many New York Yacht Club Contenders have had- too much power to control. In the finals of the Prada Cup leading up to the America's Cup, she had a comfortable lead on Luna Rossa from Italy's Team Prada/Pirelli, and on an off-tack caught a puff of wind that would cause her to go airborne, and immediately upon capsize her sailing days were over. Lessons were learned, and hopefully taken into 2024 as they prepare to christen their new AC75 for Barcelona (rules state that no team may have more than one full-sized AC75 in their fleet at one time, so Patriot is off to the museum before their new boat can touch water).

Only one more Prelim before we begin the real stuff this summer, and its all big boats from now on. The AC40s have been relegated to training, and use for the Youth and Women's Cups in the future. Time to get serious and drop the big bucks ;)

Seeing the same thread being bumped over and over for a week can only mean one thing

This week my brand new umbrella that I bought at high relative price (around $40), that I supposed would be the near top 5 best umbrellas, just bent over due a single gust.

Because i like to make the same mistake twice, I bought the very same umbrella again (another $40 flying away).

Lets see if it wsa simply a bad luck event (maybe the gust came when the umbrella wasnt in its best) or if it was a scam

Well, my phone's pooched. Hopefully my backups saved at least my contacts and stuff. The one thing I know I'm going to lose is my Final Fantasy Tactics Mobile save file, since apparently there is no way to back that up.

IIRC, my PSP FFT had 200h invested on it.

Kinda absurd considering thats about the time I spent in each of the Xenoblade games, and those are prposelly huge with so many side quests.

That huge amount of time spent was exploiting mime job, that, by triggering some gimmick of the job, managed to lead to a net increase in the character stat.

I remember maxing out Ramzas speed and attack, making him a frigging killing machine.

I also remember playing PvP with a friend, then I said I would give him a handcap: I would use only Ramza without weapons and using squire job, and he could use whatever he wanted.

My Ramza started by doing many turns back to back, one shooting everyone with punches.

Still, it almost result in a draw because my friend had a character with high jump, and that char managed to jump over houses, in a place Ramza couldnt reach.

So it was a stalemate, one single char alive skiping turns in some house roof, and my Ramza ready to destroy everything in a single punch if he could get close.

After a few turns, and I was about to give up with that stalemate, when I remember squire had throw stone, and my friend last char was in the range for that stone.

So, I tossed a stone for one hit KO, resulting in my victory, harder than I expected.

I've played through Tactics a bunch of times. I did it on the original PlayStation at my friend's house, which is oddly enough what prompted me to eventually get a PS2, for which I bought the PS1 release of Tactics and played through it there. Then I bought it for PSP and played that for a few hundred hours. Then I downloaded a ROM and played it on PC. And most recently I bought the Mobile port and played it there.

The Mobile port is honestly really, really strong. It has the cutscenes and extra jobs added to the PSP version, but with the fluid frame consistency and sound quality of the PS1 version. The downside is that you can't transfer, backup, nor copy your save file. I was originally OK with that because I thought even if I upgraded my phone, I'd just use my old one as my "FF-Tactics device". Never would I have imagined the motherboard would call it quits.

IDK, last episode you posted the subs got WAY terrible in less than 60 seconds, I watched 3 - 4 mins and they were merely uninspired at worst. Well... at best too.

I thought it was just some cringy porn fantasy that was just boring. Like the girl was willing to do anything to get famous and hoes herself out to the weekend(the idol). Not full on abusive relationship and torture of this exploited popstar whos actually the idol and it's the weekend thats using her.

Yeah, they were already bad. And they still got worse. Previous episodes were kind of like a machine translation that someone had kinda cleaned up. Now there's just no cleaning and we get dumb ***like "Ryuga Dogai" becoming "Ryuga outside Hokkaido" and "Obi" as "O.B.I." for some reason.
It doesn't matter to me because I can understand most of it without them (and apparently an actual sub group has picked it up), but for anyone just getting into the franchise through these official uploads it's becoming a real shitshow.
