This explains it better than me.

Basically, the main protagonist gets falsely accused of rape in the first episode and loses almost everything at the start, and the MeToo movement didn't like the idea that somebody could be falsely accused of rape.

It's a really good anime, I highly recommend watching it.

For some reason, GoT took a liking to rape for a while, so much that the cast basically said yeah we are kinda done with sex scenes, we understand its HBO, but this isn't what the show is supposed to be about. I really don't think history is going to be too kind to the show writers, they basically sucked from s3 on.
