Alright, have played for a few hours now and have done a majority of the demo's content. My thoughts:

-Gunplay feels pretty good. It's a third person shooter, don't expect the most visceral gunfeel honestly. The weapons feel different and they have a solid punch, that's enough for me. Remains to be seen how nice things like Legendary/Exotic effects will feel.

-Ranger feels surprisingly good for a starter class. Had fun playing with the gear that I managed to find (Seeker Missiles, Energy Beam, Deployable Shield, etc.). Colossus felt incredible. Really love the stompyness of a big, armored heavy. Overall I'm left with a very positive impression on how the abilities feel.

-Customization looks to be pretty damn great. I didn't play around with it much because there's not much of a point in a demo like this, but on release I look forward to making the prettiest power ranger.

-I played entirely using Keyboard + Mouse. Absolutely nothing wrong with this, ppl making a big deal and whining probably didn't touch their control settings. 70% Response + 30% Precision ended up feeling perfect for me. Once you understand that your aimable reticle is more like the outer ring of a gyroscope than a direct LoS that your character will follow, it isn't too hard to control flight. My main problem was that flight time felt extremely limited. Hopefully this improves with upgrades later on.

-The demo stronghold has me excited to see how many more the game will launch with. Felt pretty good even with randoms, I can only imagine that with a group of friends, tackling high difficulties will be a blast.

-Freeplay was interesting. World events and world bosses were pretty standard collect this/deposit this/kill this fare, but I was having fun regardless. Coming up with different ways to kill things and trying out new weapons/abilities and how they combo with your team mates will probably be great in this mode when we have access to all of it.

Overall I'm still looking forward to trying the full game. Connection issues weren't as bad today as they apparently were yesterday, so hopefully that's sorted completely for release. Demo felt intentionally very limited in terms of how much content is available, so it's impossible to say if this game has enough of it, and people claiming that it will have no endgame or longevity are jumping the gun in the most ridiculous way possible seeing as the demo ends at half of level cap with only a couple of map features open to us. Whether I buy it or not will be decided in the 10 hour gameplay period that basic access will get me. For now though my impressions are purely positive.
