Its sad to see Fallout 76 struggling the way it is. When they announced it at E3 I said two things: there was no way it would work at launch, and releasing after Red Dead 2 was stupid. Even COD got out in front of Rockstar. I think past success went to Bethesda's head, because this is an unmitigated disaster, this is a game that needed 8-12 more months of development. There was already a price drop (suck on that, day 1 buyers) and people are already uttering the free-to-play scenario.
Bethesda's attitude about it is just making things worse, they are losing a lot of goodwill that they have earned with their fantastic games/positivity over the years. Taking two days to respond to the backlash and announcing you are patching inventory space when there are gamebreaking bugs occurring every 5 minutes surely will bring the people back.
