PS2 shipped with proprietary AV RCA cables. Later models supported component cables, with slims supporting HD output. Could also run them through a converter box for upscaling but most things work with those.

Wife is awesome. Got me a 3DS as an impulse purchase.
Came with Ocarina of Time and Smash Bros.
Suggestions for other games? I have not kept up AT ALL with Nintendo's releases.

Dark Dawn was an unbelievable disappointment and I'm not surprised that we haven't seen any more Golden Sun games since Camelot *** up and the game bombed. Nintendo's too busy printing money with Xenoblade now.

Component/RGB cables, and I'm fairly certain that it wasn't capable of HD. I have one, trick is finding screens that still take it. yup, it was capable of HD.
you are probably thinking of that old s-video cable when you think of "can't HD" but slightly better than composite cable.
No, both S-Video and RGB are component video types, albeit the former being weaker.
Component video (the standard) is capable of HD, barely, the PS2 not really. There are a couple upscaled games, but there's no true HD.
