Welp I had only doubts about my probable cyborg nature, but now it's official.

Fell asleep on episode 5 of Homeland season 5
Fell asleep during paranoid episode 3
Fell asleep on the final episode of Van Helsing
Fell asleep 30 times trying to watch The Shannara Chronicles, I've struggled my way up to episode 2.
Saw the full last season of Chef's Table and watched the whole BBC documentary Hiroshima.

a friend recommended shannara chronicles, but i couldn't make it past the cheesiness of the first episode. frontier is... super slow. i'm told it picks up similar to how medici does. never watched homeland, paranoid, or van helsing i haven't watched chef's table. however, cooked is decently interesting. someone on here told me westworld is really good.

I have this weird aversion to shows that get big. People have told me to watch homeland, walking dead, and breaking bad. Consequently, I haven't watched any of them. I can't help it. I just assume if it's popular and people insist I watch, it's awful.

Yeah I get that, someone kept telling how awesome The Last Kingdom was and I just couldnt stay awake during it, The Walking Dead also wasnt my thing. I did like Breaking Bad but it took me a while to get into it.
Westworld I'll probably wont watch for a while, I loved that movie and am afraid the series will only disapoint.

i actually liked, 'the last kingdom'. it starts slow, but if you're interested in that selection of history it's entertaining. although it speeds up way too much at the end. it feels like it flies past the best parts. marco polo was pretty good, but cancelled/no3rdseasonwoes.

as someone who was a fan of the books... the tv series makes me want to punch a horse I've noticed that there's a strong correlation between people who like the show Lost (and think that JJ Abrahms isn't movie/tv garbage) and people who like The Shannara Chronicles.
Never knew there were books though. That must be terribly upsetting.

Haven't watched Lost.
I think he did a bangup job with The Force Awakens, though, and I think he's done as well as anyone could with the "gritty reboot" of Star Trek that Paramount seems to have wanted. I don't think it was a good idea in the first place, but since it apparently had to be done, he did it suitably enough.
(Disclaimer, I've only seen the first of the new Star Trek movies.)

I get this too, but it's never for the same reason.
Breaking Bad, Mad Men: I refuse to view horrible people as protagonists. Tried them both, got tired of them when I realized nothing good was going to come of anyone.
Game of Thrones: Couldn't get into the books, think there are dozens of fantasy series out there that would have been better with this type of budget/investment.
Walking Dead: watched the first season and frankly found it overrated. It's just another *** zombie thing.
Supernatural: It's not the Dresden Files.
etc.

many shows change dramatically from what they started from after a few seasons out, not just exclusive in TV dramas, but can also be seen in movies and anime, for example.
I really like JJ Abrams work, while not amazing great, they dont make me regret watching his movies.
I do love his current Star Trek movies...
especially since I thought the TNG movies kinda wherent fully there. (Felt like extended TV episodes as opposed to movies)
never finished lost, due to netflix cancellation
didn't fully see the final 2 seasons (skipped eps here and there) of prison break, due to conflicting airing schedule.
haven't seen his other tv shows.
hell his movies are hella better than *** M. Bay.
Lens Flares > silly explosions
and ***, I love explosions

A common complaint on the TNG movies. I enjoy them all, but they definitely give off that vibe. Some more than others. Insurrection is the worst for that.
I also really, really like Nemesis and don't care what anyone thinks or says otherwise.

I can tolerate Bay's stuff to an extent. I actually enjoyed the first Transformers movie. The rest, not so much. Stopped watching them.
You know who can really go *** himself though?
James Cameron. If I could go back in time and encourage him (by force, if necessary) to be an accountant instead of a filmmaker, I'd do so without hesitation.
*** Titanic, *** Avatar, and *** him.

this is looking good so far~ cant wait
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
