Yeah, the main story of the game is kinda cookie cutter Final Fantasy stuff (the world is doomed, goofy dude with weird costume choices somehow is powerful as all get out, etc.), but the side stories are devastating. That whole Freya thing was heartbreaking and Vivi just wants to belong. Even the Quina story was pretty sad (I don't really remember it, but I remember being sad about it).

i just wanted to throw something in as quick as possible to your, "last word til tomorrow". this will lose it's fun by the morning, but i agree. it was all downhill after xiv.
Honestly I just like imagining Seha shouting someone into a wall or through a closed door. In my mind it makes the Loony Tunes body shaped hole in the wall/door.
So I'm here in my room watching some youtube videos; my brother's gf waltzes in and starts talking loud on the phone. Then she complains to me that she can't hear and I have to turn down the volume cause I'm being rude and disturbing her call.
Or you know, you could stay in the room whence you came from and not come here to bother me? -.-
