Nope, the only way it could be considered easier is you have free reign of the pomanders and get all the pot drops. Basically you start with all the foods locked. In adventure mode you will sometimes see food on the map in the treasures section. If you find it during that mission (in a jar) then that food type becomes "unlocked" to potentially show up in all jars and from enemy officers. Oh yeah, they'd be paying a hefty sum. Ok that Titan was superfast..didn't even have the time to say hi the bard was already fighting before even the tank. At the end they were all gone before I could even see the screen black out for the cs.
So...this quest I had to massage Godbert, but due to height difference and the motion used...I think I gave him a happy ending.

Sometimes you still get groups that go at it more casual-like, especially if there are multiple new people. But that doesn't happen often. Also, if you ever end up getting stuck on a level 50 fight (or lower), you can always make a party finder for it and choose to undersize the fight to where people can go to it at level 60 fully uncapped. A single decently geared non-HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE 60 can solo pretty much any 50 fight. If it ever comes to it that is. So..North Thanalan has 2 useless atherytes when 1 halfway would be more than enough, but Coerthas which is *** huge only has one. So annoying going around here -.-

Aetherytes are expensive and since House Fortemps is in control of Central Coerthas they have to pay for it themselves
