Well I just got fired over the phone.
No reason given. I have never been administratively sat down for anything. Just "Hey calling to let you know you are terminated and tomorrow is your last day. Any job I will *** about though, that is just me. Being unemployed is never a relief really. I'd say file your paperwork then apply for dozens of jobs tonight, technically you're still employed.
I am just worried they are gunna pull some big company *** and file my termination under something that will DQ me from drawing unemployment, or maybe that I haven't worked there long enough to earn it?

Pretty sure you're good. Also if the state agency is similar to VA's they ask if prior warnings were given, incident details, etc, so most likely you will get benefits. I was let go from the last job I had in a similar fashion and as they didn't really give a reason why I got benefits.

Actually I think it is more than likely not going to be a "work day" but a come in and sign all this paperwork about how fired you are day. |
