<_< What kinda computer is it? If it's not a custom built PC you can just google the specs. Knowing if your (I'm assuming it has them anyways, if not, don't even bother trying to upgrade it) PCI-E slots support 2.1 or only 2.0 is something you have to know.. A PCI-E 2.1 slot can take a 2.0 card, but a 2.1 card in a 2.0 slot won't work.

Are you wanting the biggest and best you can get, or just something that will reasonably run most games? For the record, 2.1 will work, and your PSU is 250W. I'll go find you a couple after I know what kinda budget you'd be looking at.

Reasonable, I think. I would like something capable of running XIV, at minimum. :P That's probably good for a lot of other games out too. Not worried about price right now, this is just for reference later on.
Oh, and just FYI, yes, I did upgrade the RAM, can't do ***on 512MB. >_____>

You're not going to get the best of performance out of it, but outside of town it's not completely horrible. Her choices are even more limited because she has a low profile desktop, so not only is she stuck with a weak PSU, but a lot of decent cards are also off the table because they simply won't fit. Any of those 5 should work in your system though.. Do some googling or something to try and find out if they have a minimum wattage requirement before you actually order it. No need to check the last one, I know for a fact it will both work in your system and run FFXIV. The other 4 would be better choices though. Thank you!
