Decided to import the whole train-wreck into Word and find+replace some junk with proper code first.
After the first major step it's already 1,200 lines of code less.

<Me> Can I have a paper ballot? I don't see the option to write in a candidate on the electronic form.
<Volunteer> There is no option, because your vote will not count. Why do you want to vote for somebody else? Let me guess, yourself?
<Me> I don't like any of the idiots running, so I was planning on voting for Ann Richards. She was well beyond your time (kid was like 16 or so) but she was one of the best governors we had in Texas.
<Volunteer> Hold on a sec. Let me ask my supervisor.

<Supervisor> Is there a problem?
<Me> Finally, somebody who can understand my dilemma. I want to vote for Ann Richards for President, but your electronic form won't let me. Can I have a paper form?
<Supervisor> Why not vote for Clinton or Sanders then?
<Me> I'm a conservative.
<Supervisor> *shuffles* Here you go sir! *hands paper ballot*
