I'm not sure what release pattern you're speaking of. I wouldn't expect it in US for at least a year. When it comes to portable MH they tend to wait until "Ultimate" before letting US have it which is minimumly a year out from the original game.
I just woke up after dreaming a spider biting my hand. Went to look in Google about dream meanings, and saw it can be considered luck.
Well, yesterday I got super lucky drawing a good item for free (around 1/400 chance for that happen). Today Im betting everything I can (lotery, game, etc). >_>

The only exception I can think of is 3U (a few months after the Wii version launched in Japan) and 4U (roughly 4 months after JP release.) And historically we're far more likely to get it than not. The only unexpanded game we haven't gotten is MH4. And MHX is considered a tribute to the fans, so it'd be a huge screw you to the west not to bring it over. Then again it's Capcom and they hate the west, so anything can happen.
