General poll question, I guess: would people rather have smaller weekly patches, or bi-weekly that have bigger stuff? There's decent arguments for both, but I've found myself having to rush/limit/shelve things because they don't always fit into the smaller development cycle.

Well, personally, I'd think it'd be better to just patch whatever is ready as long as it wouldn't break things, that way it doesn't seem stagnant.

I like a steady schedule for a bunch of reasons, but the big three are:
- Gives a fixed time to make it easier on Scragg
- Sets expectations for everyone else (this is the big reason why I hate skipping weeks)
- Imposes some structure on me so I don't tinker with something forever
I propose we limit the rainbow tag to 3 words and/or 15 characters, max :)
That'd be fairly annoying to do, actually, due to how the internal parser works. All BBCode has potential for abuse, so that's really more of a moderation issue anyway.

So you'd rather be a good Admin than play Cards with me the day after my birthday? Wow...
To be fair the Admin life can be rough.
A certain character type needs to be there for an admin thats for sure.
Maybe rooks can join us on another cards game? ;D

Rooks didn't choose the admin life, the admin life chose him.

It's not personal.
I have, roughly, 10-15 hours a week of actual Free Time⢠between RL work, wife+kid, other obligations, etc. It's not something I can pop into and out of like forum posting - it requires a contiguous, uninterrupted block of time, and there just isn't that much of that for me right now, so that's what I get. 10-15 hours a week of development isn't very much!
So, if I want to make progress with any velocity whatsoever, it trumps almost everything else.
This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
