Prothescar trying Skyforge, but I'm getting very mixed feelings atm.
The combat system is nice (wish I could try it with a gamepad, but support not out yet) but at the same time it's annoying that you can't really move in one direction while moving camera in the opposite.
It also takes some time to get used to the fact that there is no strafe on Q and E, but A and D are used to strafe. After 25+ years used to a certain configuration it takes a while to get used to something different.
I like the artistic design altough the charadesign doesn't convince me completely (it doesn't suck either though).
The fact the game makes you choose your name and physical aspect after the introduction didn't convince me either.
So far it's fun to play but it totally feels like a F2P to me.
One of those that you can enjoy without feeling forced to pay (just like you said), but there's a very very very very noticeable difference compared with games like FFXI, FFXIV or WoW, to name a few.
Many aspects of the game reminded me of Rift, a very nice and seriously udnerestimated WoW-clone, imho.

"okay lets go to this planet first and check her out, she's still sending data."
"alright. how much time has passed for her since she arrived?"
"about 30 minutes"
"check, so they barely did *** all yet and the planet is pretty much 99.9% unknown. probably still havent set up their first probes."
would be simple logical deduction that scientists would perform, yet these didn't. They knew the planet was like 7 years per hour before even arriving, come on. Also the potato goes full potato with space madness and decides to murder the crew for no apparent reason

I had a lot of issues with the storytelling / plot, but I REALLY loved the idea of the movie, even if the science behind it is very ehhh~!~ it's still cool thinking about it :)
love imagination <33

So last night was a bit of an adventure / headache.
D got a virus on my computer :0 so I tried cleaning it, was some shopping ad virus thing that wouldn't go away no matter how much I scrubbed away at it, there was just something hidden away somewhere that kept bringing everything back even with programs I trust to get rid of that stuff.
So I did a reformat, was putting Windows 8 back on but something happened I guess to give me issues with my graphics driver, so after many hours of frustration trying to get games to stop flickering, I was curious as to how Windows 10 is.
I'm going in this expecting a buggy mess since it's so new.
First impressions, the OS is incredibly responsive to searching, and I love that the start menu is back to it's semi-traditional self, not that I had anything against the Win8 start menu, it's just nice not having a full screen start menu.
I LOVE the lack of window border width / padding. Thin / invisible borders for windows is an easy win for me.
That's about all I know about Win10 so far, but it fixed the game flickering issue I was having for the past 8 hours, so I guess pretty much anything would make me happy right now.

Kinda funny how the good taste of chicken made them forget or feel less strongly against "killing animals". That was fast, lol.
But props to them for being honest about it.

Scale showed below 80kg this morning. When is the last time this happened? A decade ago? :D

How accurate is the "database" "active" numbers? Way off? 70%? 85%? No idea, I'd have to look into it. Why?
Looked into it.
The numbers for inactive servers are obviously wrong (patch tomorrow fixes that), otherwise those numbers are refreshed daily and completely accurate as far as I can tell.

How difficult is Alexander? Is it something Alley and I will need a static for or is it DF-able? Gunna be a little bit getting ilvls up but we definitely want to give it a go once we can.

Are we talking about Alex v1 for the Missions/summonable avatar?
If so, super-easy. As long as you've got ilevel gear and shell on I can't imagine having a problem. I curbstomped it when I did it for my mule a while back.

You can DF it np, the only one that gives people issues is 4 because there's a ton of aoe damage (orbs you have to eat before they reach others) and toooons of healing (get weapon first)
1-3 are easy but 3 still requires decent healing

I've said for years I'll eat chicken until I die even if I give up all other meat for moral reasons because chickens are god damn evil.

I just wanted a picture of Joan snerking for XIV. Because...I'm an asshat and wanted to laugh at XIV.
That said...eh. I think the effects of smoking are gross, both health-wise and smell-wise, especially cigarettes (vs. cigars or pipes, that is); nothing is worse than rank, stale clothes with baked-in cigarette smoke. And people who smoke in their homes/cars ruin those things for resale; that dank-*** smell doesn't go away.
And I certainly get why people do it.
But outside of physicians, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who sees the effects of smoking and lung cancer the way I do, so I don't even have the occasional cigar anymore. I just...can't. The mental association with the negatives are far too strong.

Smoked chicken wings are possibly the best-tasting thing on this planet (to tie together the prior thoughts on eating chicken and this one...)

This is a thread that I found on another website I post at. It can be really really interesting. I thought it deserved a place here.
Post your random thoughts for the day here, or anything else that intrigues you.
For starters, is it possible to give constructive critism to someone who doesn't have a neck? I totally just walked by a girl who didn't. Someone isn't getting a necklace for Valentines day!
And who decided black and white can't be colors? I want to say a racist. I really do.
