I'm super stoked right now. Like my dream job at my dream fire station is within reach.

Had a fire test yesterday and rocked the ever living ***out of it. They are hiring 3 and I scored third place on the test. Their physical ability was a joke to boot.

I was more than 2 minutes under max time and the only reason it took me that long is I screwed up. During the hose drag I took the corner too sharp and the hose went over a barrel it was supposed to loop around... I spent a good 30 seconds trying to fling it over the barrel and proceeded to knock the barrel over in the process. Got a laugh out of the guys timing me though.

Got invited to the group interview with the top 15 on Friday. It is basically a meet and great with the chief, assistant chief, and all the captains. Said a lot of the fire guys will be there too. They aren't civil service so the idea is to see how well you mesh with the guys at the station. From there they pick the guys they liked the best to move on to pannel interviews/background checks/formal interviews.

I'd give my left testicle for this job right now.
