I was all "I'm gonna take a small nap" yesterday afternoon around ~1 PM. It is 4:53 AM and I am getting up... good nap.

Bought a PS4 last night. Got Destiny, Terraria, and The Last of Us (included) with it. Updating Terraria at the moment.

Too bad the book stage still sucks when you have to wait 1 hour+ for ***dungeons. The book stage has been relatively easy. I look for dungeons while doing the fates/kills and end up with all of them done by the time I'm done with both of those stages, once in a while having one left over(things like Cutter's Cry don't like to queue me or queue me right as my fate pops). The only real problem I have atm is that I've been on such a strict time limit.
As for the hunt increase, it doesn't help me at all. Either I completely miss hunts due to dungeons or when I do manage to show up I don't get invited to a party and walk away with maybe 10 seals if I'm lucky. I really wished they hadn't tried to bring back the hunt because as interesting as I want it to be its too "organized" for me to get any enjoyment or real reward for doing it. the double up doesn't just apply to A rank, but applies to daily hunts (Monster hunts moved from 4 seals to 8, and fate hunts moved from 10 seals to 20, while weekly B Ranks moved from 50 to 100 seals)
Additionally, I don't really take part in the mass hunt shouts either. People pull early (usually less than 20 seconds after shout goes out or found) and a lot of people miss out during their play time. I asked Lordgrim if he understands what an appropriations bill is, and I get a long preachy response about "Truth and Justice."

The B rank upgrades would be nice if they were daily instead of weekly.
The daily hunts, I should do more of but the low pay outs make me feel like I'm doing nothing. And they only take a little bit of time, like 3-4 monsters, and the main target of a fate, like Brounger. Now I just have to ask this:
Is FFXIV fun to play, or is it just another form of grind? It has it's moments. Positives and negatives like any other game.
Just really depends on how much of it you're willing to explore. |
