When my old LS was thinking that FF14 was gonna be big, we had all decided to go to Trabia together. That never happened though, so I don't even own 14/a system capable of running it.

Well there's a reason so many from AH are on Trabia.. Back when BETA went open, and people started trying it out, Trabia was designated the unofficial AH server, and we eventually had an LS for all of us too.. We got along well/liked playing with each other, so those who planned to still buy the game decided nearly unanimously to stay on Trabia.. A couple decided to go to other servers for RL Friends/LS mates, the rest were either outside the loop, or just weren't really around when all that happened.

getting to lvl 50 is pretty much a chore at this point I wouldn't say that, getting from 20-25~ to 50 is a chore.. The first levels are actually fun and they fly by. After 20-25 it just starts dragging by.

There's a ~certain~ LS on Trabia that if they had it their way, would make Trabia the new Asura. Other than them, and a few random/lone people/incidents, our server is actually pretty quiet and 'nice'... Our server has a tendency to work together, even if they're strangers... If like a couple of parties of 2-3 people are camping the same NM, instead of just trying to out camp, they'll join forces, usually anyways. That of course doesn't apply to the 'big NMs', but even then they don't turn it into an ordeal, it's 'we lost claim, let's focus on getting next'.
