FF9 is one of my favs too. I also liked FF10 a lot. (FF10-2 was just dumb tho).

Best music: FF8 I would say.

I quite liked 8,9, and 12.

I never got to really get through 10 or 10-2, I am getting the HD remake though so I guess i'll play it then.

I mainly liked 9 for it's art syle, other then that it's nothing 'super special'

story wise it's still 8 for me.

Started a straight re-re-re-playthrough of the entire Final Fantasy main series again a few weeks ago... 1 through 4 are complete so far! I think I replay them all yearly at this point, and each time I find something new or different that I didnt know of in a couple of them!

Yeah, it's hard for me to replay 9 due to its uniquely cruddy ATB system. It makes Freya's Jump teeerrrrrrible for damage. It also does what Ina said.

Love the story and characters though. Except for Zidane.

I managed to work around it a bit by setting it to wait and just opening a menu during spell animations >.> I took similar issue with 12, where playing on higher battle speeds made spells with long animations terrible since the character would just stand there while my melee characters would get 3 or 4 attacks in.
