Random Thoughts.....What Are You Thinking?

Alright so this post is going to be a slight rant, but I really want to hear opinions about this. Why does everyone make the Primal fights out to be so hard? Why do I see so many people complaining about the primal fights on these forums? The primal fights are some of my favorite content on the game right now and are tuned very well. I understand complaints about Titan lag, if you have high ping then yes Titan is a bit unfair. However the vast majority of people do not have insanely high ping and many just use ping as an excuse to complain about their own sub-par reaction times and inability to multitask.

On the subject of Titan I avoided fighting him for a very long time due to how everyone made him out to be some sort of Duty Finder nightmare that you should never do unless you have a free company group. Since I manned up and decided to finally fight him I have beaten him multiple times in Duty Finder with very few issues. Yes some groups cannot beat Titan, but these groups are extremely easy to spot if you know the signs. You should give these groups a 2-3 attempt maximum and leave. Be the bigger person and take the 15 minute penalty and be polite about it. You are doing everyone in the group a favor.

I also want to give a quick shout out to Garuda since I see plenty of complaints about her as well. Garuda is an extremely forgiving fight with a mediocre gear check. If you have AK gear and a basic understanding of how to play your class then you should have no issues with Garuda. Here are my current Garuda stats for anyone who might have an interest in this sort of thing.

SCH > BLM > BRD > SCH > DRG > SCH > BRD > PLD > MNK > WAR > SMN > SCH > SCH > SCH > PLD > WHM > WHM > WHM > SCH > SCH > SCH > SMN > BLM > BRD > WHM > WHM > BRD + Feather > BRD > SMN > DRG > SMN > WHM + Feather > WHM > SCH > WHM > WAR > SCH > WAR > SMN

That is 39 kills total and I have failed Garuda a total of 10 times. I strictly use Duty Finder for Garuda so I get an average 80% kill rate on her using Duty Finder.

So I know this is the part everyone is going to hate. If you read this far then I appreciate it though! If you are finding yourself getting worse results then I am on these Primal fights then you probably need to sit back and evaluate if you are holding the group back. Despite popular belief all it takes is that one special snowflake to turn a kill in to a giant headache. You might very well be that Snowflake.
