If you did become a meteorologist, you'd have to change your name to something like Johnny Tornado or Billy Hale.
My astronomy teacher in high school was absolutely bat ***crazy. She was completely convinced that during some meteor shower, the mother ship was going to come back for her (srsly, she'd tell you everything about that ship in detail).
If you brought up Bill Nye in her class, she'd give you a detention for disrespecting her and make you write 1000 words on why Bill Nye is a fraud. No clue why, but she loathes that man.

That sounds extremely Heaven's Gate Cult'ish. lol Is she still kicking or did she drink the fun punch at the last party on earth? :x She's still waiting on the right meteor shower. She actually got fired 2 years after I took the class because she forged all her degrees. Turns out she wasn't even fit to be a librarian (whoda thunk it). Also turns out she has documented cases of psychosis (whoda thunk it), which would likely explain why everyone in her class always felt like they were going to die.
