My German teacher had a really weird one, I think it was Swiss German or something but when she was teaching she used the "normal" one

Do you use dialect for differences within a language or accent? I always thought accent was for when you speak another language, like a Swedish accent when speaking English.

I just had a horrible idea.
I am going to make coffee with red bull instead of water. Then going to drink that while eating chocolate bars. Then going to wash it down with a cold monster energy drink. Yar, what Uri said. Dialect is probably the proper way to go about it. Either way it's usually understood.

Like I can turn on/off a fake southern accent at will, but when I drink it naturally bleeds through at times. Less with the drawl like Zah's but more with my dialect such as words like "y'all" become rather frequent where as I typically try not to use it too often.
Was just curious because in Swedish we say dialect when we talk about American or British accents and accent only when it's about a foreigner speaking the language.
