The freedom you get in WRPGs makes up for the lack of new settings imo (since it's usually medieval setting). While JRPGs have fantastic worlds it's always "save the world" and there's no choice when it comes to quests or story so I prefer WRPGs these days :/ I do wish we had some cooler worlds though, not just dragons and magic/swords.

As if I didn't have enough to do in Skyrim. But I refuse to get sidetracked by multiple games! So I will play all the way through Skyrim before starting Dark Souls. I got it for half off, and that's the important part.

I really have to thank Misa. Idk what HE AND HIS MIGHTY PENIS put in the note but I wrote it down and put it on the new neighbor's door (crept over at 3am-ish so no one saw me lol). They started working at 9 today and yesterday.

Not to spoil the surprise but you only had to backread a whole one post before that one. :x
I actually dislike the whole choose everything aspect of WRPG's for the most part. It's why I can't get into Bethesda games at all. :<
Demon/Dark Souls, Legend of Zelda, Dragon Age and Mass Effect have just the right amount of choice/linearity for me to enjoy them. Linearity > Open World for me.
