Meaning a virus can be frozen, heated (to a certain degree, if it's molecules break it will "die") and crystallized, even. As long it's molecules are not "broken" it can reproduce.
Similar to the Prion proteins that caused mad cow disease.

A real world virus is the same as a computer virus, but it's formed of proteins. ;)
