FINALLY I AM IN SILVER 3! GAH that took like TWO MONTHS OF EFFORT! Sheesh!!

Now I just gotta get through Silver 3, 2 and 1 to get to Gold before the end of October.

Anyone wanna make a team? I've been wanting to play in a team like environment with Skype or something of that nature. Being able to form tactics and work together while having fun. Don't expect to win every game but just have fun without someone raging or trolling. I myself am not the best of players but I do try and not rage much.

not bad at all just be sure that you keep yourself and your team fed... lol I've had games where someone got all the kills and for that reason we lost XD he was playing like it was CoD or something

While it is true that depending on situation X or Y player would gain more by getting the kill rather than the other (and therefore it would help the team more), the higher you go in level, the better farm mechanics you get, the less it matters.

I feel this is especially true when playing against higher level players (or watching them play). They have less kills but they have near perfect farm, allowing them to stay relevant no matter what the situation is.

Incoming stuck in bronze rant:

I was playing a ranked game the other day, ended up getting shoved on support (which I really don't mind if the ad-carry is at least not completely terrible). The ad-carry goes Ashe, runs heal/port, builds Zeke's Herald first and has 20 cs at the 15 minute mark. I kind of figured something like that would happen when I saw heal/port so I went Leona and tried my best to at least hold the lane and make sure the guy didn't feed their carry, but when we ended the laning phase all this Ashe wants to do is shoot arrows down mid lane, regardless of what's going on elsewhere.

Anyway... what are you actually supposed to do in that situation. It seems to come up more often than not lately, there's at least the one guy who just sits there and feeds the other team doing random crap and building really weird ***every game. I understand that the meta isn't the only way to do things and I'm open to new ideas, but it's there for a reason - it works.

I've been trying to ad-carry lately because it seems to be the main position that really makes or breaks a game, and my mechanics are not completely horrid anymore (at least I hope so, I sometimes cancel autos to early but I'm still trying to get used to some of the champions' sounds/animations), but I just can't figure out what to do about the one guy who just doesn't understand and won't cooperate with anyone. There's also the fact that nobody wants to support and is like "Hey I'm taking your cs so I can AP Kayle/AP Nidalee/AP Sona/AD Thresh, kthx."

I don't mind if someone's making mistakes, I'm not very good myself, but it just ticks me off when people start doing badly and decide to either afk, purposefully feed, or completely give up - especially when other lanes are winning.

I'll have bad games myself, but more often than not I'm at the very least a positive KDA. Often I just don't feel like I have more impact on the game than the guy who's 0/31, screaming 'GG OUR JUNGLER WONT GANK,' and seems more like a member of the other team.

tl;dr: Besides obviously muting people and focusing on my own ***, what am I really able to do about people who are just genuinely bad? It just feels like there are more unwinnable games than winnable games lately. I enjoy the game itself, but the community (for the most part), just seems bad. The few games I've actually been able to have fun and play lately (that aren't just normal games with friends), have been very close 4v5s that we end up losing in the end because the other team realizes they can teamfight better than us with 5 people against our 4.

I also don't want it to sound like I'm blaming losses on other people, I'm not (well, partially q_q). I feel like there's more I can do regardless of other people that I'm not doing, so I'm not winning.

The 'meta' doesn't really apply to solo queue so much. There's no point in supporting someone who's rolling heal/port. If they're trolling, you're kinda boned; if they're not trolling, you're still kinda boned. Pick a carry, take all the CS, and carry, carry, carry.

Bronze and all the V categories are special places, you should follow a different attitude when playing with people from there.

Just pick whichever champion you think you can carry with, whether it is a bruiser, an AP carry or marksman and play bot lane as if you were alone, using the other guy as a shield/bait if anything. If your last hitting is better, you'll have enough farm to both buy proper items and wards and if your level is above the division you play in, you should be able to 1v2 this way. If you move properly, you can also set him up as a target when ganks happen.

I think the only thing that can stop you in such position is the enemy jungler. If he understands what is going on and the rest of your team doesn't, it's a lost match. However, a common mistake I notice at this level (which allows me to 1v5 very often), is that if you lose your lane in a way or another, people tend to forget you. It's sometime a "good idea" to feed a kill or two (while keeping up farm), lose your tower and then exploit the holes in the map. I was able to 1v5 in placements on EU this way and they're pretty much your typical Bronze V.

Train in Draft if you're not sure, do a few of them with this mindset/strategy then jump in ranked and apply it. I miss AP Yi as he was very good for such strategy.
