I am still too low and new to be amazing but I bought Varus a few days ago.

Why is Urgot so unpopular? I am looking at the videos and he seems like a lot of fun.

Because he isn't too easy to play, and Soraka is a 100% counter to him. Her silence can stop any one of his abilities, including his ultimate. And his ultimate also could mean he could get into a bad spot. So he has to be a specific fit in a team that can play nicely with him, I think at least.

Usually when I need that, Lu invites me late at night or morning to play, Zack or Minefield might get on as well or Aug might spectate, and we just play ARAMs. Though instead of relaxing Lu and I just jab at how horrible the matchups are with poke comps.

I find being in promo is generally cursed, always seem to get trolled pretty hard. Took me 5 promos to get into gold from silver... keep at it!

He also doesn't really fit the meta well. He's a tanky carry counter-carry, not the mid-late game adc powerhouse most people want in an adc.

Yeah but i had a losing streak of 3 at 98 points, dropped me to like 84 at that time. -45 points seems real harsh ; ;

edit- it was funny because i went riven mid and just played so well, i was like 8-1 and one person asked me from the other team if i was faker smurfing lol. apparently they've never met a riven who can 2v1 against a renekton and orianna and live lol.

They dropped the ball with allowing xPeke to get his signature champion. On top of not the best champ match up to try to shut him down some how. Gragas/Kennen arent real good answers to Kass, it look like they were trying to get champs with very good ult utilities and have great wave clear pushing power. Unfortunately, you didnt really see that, ken/grag never roamed the map because kass was right there keeping up in farm(thats a bad sign) and keeping his wave equally pushed. xPeke didnt even have to make owsum plays or kills on kass, the CC he brings to a fight is enough(almost 3 second silence, conal slow with equal burst to his Q).

Balls on Rumble was fantastic, his ults just destroyed Fanatic each time. SoAZ on Lissandra making nice plays/moves.

The two teams that lost yesterday both had in common that they let the opposing team play what they wanted, while not being able to develop their game themselves.

In their defense, I feel like it's very difficult to ban properly in this tournament.

Its pretty difficult to ban anything in tournament/competitive play. Its like you either go for target bans or for bans that go against your team comp or champs that are just epic threats. But like even if you do go for target bans, nothing's stopping the other guy from playing his second/third/fourth best champ. So thats where things such as team comp and team play/tactics-strategy become way more important.
