Children asking for honors so that they can brag "I have over 150 Honorable opponent, I must be a much better player than you who only has 70".
I find this pathetic but I just ignore it. I haven't given out a single honor since the system was introduced, and I probably will never give any.
When you reach a specific amount, you get a ribbon on the character select screen and loading screen. The ribbon is found in a corner of your character picture. Red is for honorable opponent, and can only be on opponents, green is Teamwork, and can only be seen on a team mate.
You cannot see your own ribbon, anywhere. This is why everyone and their grandmothers are always like "DID/DO I HAVE A RIBBON??????".
I'm happy when I get honor and I actually acted that way (I got a few helpful/friendly honors when I didn't deserve them at all, which defeat the purpose), but I never ask or even talk about it in-game. I wanted to give a friendly honor once, but the guy was on the other team so the option wasn't available, it should be changed imo.
I'm not gonna change my behaviour for this, at least.
