FFXI Dats.com Is Closing Down :(

I dont know why the "newbie" group can post new threads in that first board and reply to others there, but atleast you got access to post elsewhere now.

ah ty its up and running for me now. working on getting the kinks out on my url picture post then ill be in shape.

Anyone else got dats to share? sign up and help us keep these dats from getting lost.

I dont think so... this is a brand new site to replace the old one, we need to build up all the old dats in our collection before people can go linking them to others.

no no solidyuna that is the new website that me an icari is working on to get our dats saved, as the old website shutted down....so please if you have dats to share please do so by registering and upload them =)

I'll offer free hosting(no bandwidth limit, enough disk space, good speeds) on a semi-dedicated(I host a site there as well) server for anyone who truly wants to make a community project to revive such a site. PM me with interest.

I am working on making a site, it is already up as you can read in the last page or so. Idealy i think we should keep to one site for the dats then many sites for everyone to go looking at for finding them. As it is there are several sites that people use for dats, now I just made another to make it easier i hope for people to find what they are looking for.

What I meant in my offer was, if you wanted, you can use my dedicated server for it. Many hosts offer only so much data transfer per month, have a slow uplink, etc. Just wanted to help.

I have 250gig of bandwidth per month to use up. I think we are ok for now.

Are you looking for the crystal elemental staffs from the picture that Kilcullen posted? Those were recolored by me from an original set by Arakiel, and as far as I know I'm the only one who still has em lying around. Do you want the full recolored set? For what race if so? The originals were all the same "wood" colored (I fondly called it a burnt orange/olive green... ugly mixture) and I recolored all of the staves wood portions to match the crystals.



This recoloring was a while ago (like 10 months when I was much less adept than I pretend to be now) that I did them, so it's possible that they could be improved now, but I'm happy enough with them^^

If you are interested in a race other than mithra, I can swap things around with the original set (he released it for all races) and upload them somewhere^^

My dat mods are on a more request basis for anything beyond what I use ^^; I have a different staff set for each race so it never really occurs to me that people want things beyond what I've got <.< It is a bad habit.

They have already closed down so we cant archive them anymore, but ffxidats.caarrie.org will host any dats that are found or made.

you could post your "wish list" on the new ffxidats website and hope that the people that go there will see your wish and post the dats there.

I'll make all of the sets into the recolored staffs and put them up on that site later today^^ At the moment I am not home with my computer or else I would right now. 3/7 is enough interest for me to do all of them I guess, takes very little time if I do it right^^
