I am curious if there is a way to get even more white damage without loosing too much tp gain.
I started looking at unpopular mpaca pieces for its crit rate and high attack.
But in testing it seems that crit rate is already insanely high and adding a lot more does not appear to be as beneficial as I thought.
The high attack also was washed out by brd cor buffs in 135 limbus
Crit hit damage pieces that are available are not ideal outside of some master level exping.

Yea it's either Flama or Odin head. I personally rock Odin for the DT and to lean into double attack more.the L8mb7s is going to be a contender when fully augmented.

I was wondering if there'd been any update towards Tower 3? I'm not happy to admit that I'm a tad addicted, but I can't keep killing Wrathare ?
I'm currently wrapping up the side-content that I've been experimenting with (doing some final play tests & tweaks). I hope to release it shortly.
Regarding Tower 3 specifically, I don't have any updates. I'm currently leaning towards experimenting with different types of game-modes, focusing on open-map concepts (like Escha).

My group is starting to work towards an 8 boss run with each of us dual boxing. One question we keep having while we parse information from threads like this and BGWiki is "what are everyone's gearsets looking like?" My assumption for most statics looking to do 8 boss is full R30 Oddy/R25 Nyame, with appropriate Empy/Relic/AF+3.
Our group is currently doing PLD/DNC(Twatswatter)/WAR(Chango)/BRD(Dardabla)/RDM/COR and working from 4 boss to 8 boss, and wanting to see where we need to improve as we nail down a comp for us.

I pulled the trigger on the stage 4 because of your recent posts
And I like it so much that I think it's going to be my first stage 5. (I started a bunch)
I am really impressed with the white damage from this thing visibley churning through 135 limbus
I thought the weaponskill would be something I only use sometimes but the skill chain bonus with it is also working really well that
I find myself comfortably using it at 1550 (2k)
I notice sometimes that a 1k ws will do fairly close to the 2k value
I suspect this is a multi attack proc, although I think testing said there is no replication across hits. Would a regular addition attack swing da/ta show up like this?

Should nest duplicates
I see the crawler to grabbed some addons from not original authors because the GitHub user just uploaded their whole directory
Would also be interesting to see how many hits come up for a particular addon

Yeah, the unmentioned part of Felgarr's complaint was "because they run the two campaigns simultaneously, the dig time is also a constantly 5 seconds while skillup campaign is on"
(which is valid! they do!)

not sure what "most recently updated" means. If that is 'uploaded to github' cases where someone just has an exact copy it will point to the copy rather than the original. (not ideal) not sure if you can checksum/diff the files and take the oldest in these cases? (probably ignore settings files too since someone could just be backing that up more than the addon itself)
I think in cases where someone fixes something (memory address) for something that is no longer supported, this is ideal. As a rule of thumb new features probably good. (murkier if people want new features or they work correctly and credit is potentially confusing too)
Cases where insignificant updates happen its also probably bad, but not really sure how you separate significant vs insignificant. Maybe if someone tells you (the original/copy author) you can override so pointers are correct.

CHOCOBO DIGGING SKILLUP BONUS CAMPAIGN
next month
So, I won't be able to tell if my digging skill ranks up because of the campaign? ...god damn it. -_-; What are you talking about? How would increased skillup chances prevent you from identifying a rank up? Can you also not identify a Combat or Magic skillup during that campaign?
It's both digging campaigns. Digging retries will be 3 or 5 seconds, I don't remember

Minor nitpick: Why use a VIT WSD cape for Fimbu, particularly on RUN? Moar tanky while WSing, since equal mods?
Raw damage would still be better with STR though, yeah? Gotta get the fSTR pumped. All the other Gsword WSes(not you Dimi) use STR too.
Sketchy!
I was pretty hands off with curating the sets other than manually swapping out Gelatinous with Niqmaddu and a quick WS test showed slightly better numbers. I'm sure a STR cape would be better dmg as well, but this is what the sim chose after running.
Wiki has Fimb at 60% STR/VIT, and fSTR should carry if the numbers are the same. I see why it went Gelatinous +1 for the 15 VIT, but 10 VIT and 10 STR (plus quad proc) on Niqmaddu is clearly going to net better results for Fimbulvetr specifically.
Just sim things I guess!

Doesnt change much, no.
Not much has been added to drg tp wise and flammas already has the near perfect stats for a TP piece, bit glassy but still good

This the equivalent of a/s/l, so that should tell you my age range at least

I'm guessing the 3 sigma bell curve would put most players in the 35-45 range (roughly, give or take a year or 2) (maybe more like 2-2.5 sigma i dunno)
with a smaller chunk being within about a 5 year chunk on either end (i'm in the older portion here).
Guessing there's more players over 50 than under 30. (and I'd guess most players under 30 probably play with their parents!)
Anecdotally the players ages I know seem to fit that profile, but its a guess. (i'd say 99% of the players were probably 15-30 years old in the hey day of CoP - ToAU era 2004-2008 timeframe)
But this is a wild guess on my part, but I would say older millenials are the largest group (probably followed by younger millenials and then younger gen-X)

All over the internet for some reason this forum's humor is more closely aligned with my humor. I'm a late Gen Xer, so my guess is so is most of you, as well as some early Millennials. Thoughts? Discussions? How old are you?
Your last post was in May 2025, and before that 2010? ...Who are you trying to doxx ...and why do you want to lurk behind their home's garbage cans?

I've read everything I can about Chocobo Racing, but I just can't seem to win the first race.
Why are we allowed to submit ChocoboTrain items (non-Racing) for our retired chocobo? How do we get an updated VCS Registration Card so that our chocobo's stats are updated for the next race attempt?
This is so confusing. I guess I wasn't supposed to retire my chocobo? The order of steps to go from Raising to Racing is not clear. :/

My Mahogany Pole synths support the "Tier 0 cannot HQ2/3" rule. I make Mahogany Poles and NPC them (come to my "making mog gardens work 4 u" TED talk). The recipe is level 68 and my highest woodworking level is 70. I have made 56 Mahogany Pole +1s and they were all Tier 1 HQs.
Kind of wild that no shield crafter noticed this before now. Sorry for bumping this, but I dont think it was always like that.
https://ffxiclopedia.fandom.com/wiki/Urushi?oldid=458671
How would people have known the HQ 2/3 tier results for Urushi back in 2008 when it has a 59 wood subcraft requirement? The subcraft cap was raised to 70 in 2012. That would require 102 Alch and 70 Wood. The most you could get in skill at the time would be +1 from moghancement, +1 from weapon/gloves, +1 from apron if I'm not mistaken. Even if someone with alch main leveled wood up to pick up apron, with 96 Alch, imagery and +3 in skill that would put you at 102. The most you could do for Wood is 64 base skill and +2 from gloves/apron.

Ridiculous, I need to try mercari or somewhere. Over 100 dollars in fees. I lost 80 dollars on something that was brand new unopened and the only way it sold in over 3 months was to promote it. Crazy I quit selling on eBay well over 10 years ago because the fees were outrageous. It seems they've made them even worse.
eBay can rot and fail for all I care. They give absolutely no protection to their sellers. The last straw was I sold a portable microphone recorder (for acoustic music capturing) marked as used-like new.
The buyer purchased it, received it, used it for 2 months, then filed a claim that it wasn't in the condition listed. The microphone recorder even had hundreds of recordings from the buyer left on it. eBay forced me to accept the return and refunded the seller, putting my eBay account in negative status as I had no other things sold... which gave me a strike on my seller account, closed all my other listings, and wouldn't let me sell again until I paid the funds back to eBay.
I don't understand how eBay stays afloat aside from PayPal. It seems like almost everyone sells stuff on FB Marketplace (which is pretty much the only thing FB is useful for these days) or market specific places (e.g. forums). I can't think of the last time I bought something off of eBay and yea, the fees are absurdly stupid.

Before I go and spend a couple hours on wsdist has anyone come to a decided conclusion on what the absolute best limbus gear for THF is? As in, prioritize this piece because it beats out all others.
Sorry for derailing previous topic. Appreciate all feedback. Returning is overwhelming.

Assuming the above post is also relevant if you don't have Gae Buide, but have Trish/Ryunohige/Gungnir?
It's also wild to me that Flamma head is still so viable for DRG over other pieces in a DT TP set.

Maybe I'm misreading that list, but it shows DNC using Savage Blade in several places. I assume that should be Rudra's Storm. My thought is that it's Savage Blade II, possibly? I know our DNC main has the sword and bought it for zerg reasons where he couldn't use dagger.
There is no "Savage Blade II". Onion Sword III's unique WS is Fast Blade II, so the list is still incorrect. Blame early morning work brain. Yes, I meant Fast Blade 2, and thanks.
Good to know for these things. I'm also excited to see more job possibilities as a DRG main who lives on COR.
