If the +5% is actually rate+5, I think its decent for those times you want to raise TH. Unfortunately, there's one big problem::
Limbus doesnt require TH
Sortie doesnt require TH (I dont think its ever been debunked if the personal stones/case drops are influences by TH)
Gaol doesnt require TH
Sheol A/B make use of TH, but nothing worth building up.
DynaD makes use of TH, but barely anything worth building up (volte drops, thats about it)
Omen makes use of TH, but the jury is still out if the bodies are influenced by TH themselves, or theyre part of a shared drop slot.
And realistically, its more likely that its rate*1.05.
What's more, (assuming Treasure Hunter works this way) a few of the the best drops that TH actually works on anymore come from, like, Shinryu, and are "locked" behind terrible distribution pools, so +5% chance of increasing Treasure hunter just increases the rate you'll get the accessories you already have in your bag, not the ultra rare stuff you're actually after. Isn't a similar pool distribution system in place for Omen bosses and bodies/accessories?
I'm struggling to even think of anything where you'd be interested in procing TH for a drop anymore. Volte gear? |

Controversial take - I rather support the game while it's still being supported before any potential private servers
So much this. SE even announced new zones a few weeks ago. How can you not save or spare $12/month to keep your favorite, longest-running two-decade-long game alive?
Don't get me wrong, if retail gets shutdown, I'll totally spend my time to make a retail-accurate private server (with Beastmaster 6-yalm restriction removed, and even perhaps remove the the BST MPK Nerf of 2005, God willing).
But until then? Retail all the way!
100% beyond that why trust private individuals with your data and to run a server professionally. I can't see any world a private server has anywhere close to the content retail has. |

House of Ashur comes out tomorrow. It's getting rave reviews I guess. Can't believe they gave a spinoff series to the most reviled character on that show. Which was 10 years ago, sheesh.

Before the update I was rank 5. After, I was rank four. This weekend I added 21 titles(VD HTMB) and 60ish ROE and still 4 :/
Does anyone know if the rank levels up live? Or do you have to log out/on to see an update?
Added 156 ROE, 15 titles, Rank 10 in Windy and Sandy, Max fame in every city, added two jobs for ML and got medal of altana,
Still Rank 4.... |

Does anyone know exactly how pulling in the solo dyna zones works?
I noticed when you pull the statue in front of palace for jeuno, the 3 statues along the wall you pass by will spawn/aggro. Went to pull downstairs in wave2 and the entire left side of the zone upstairs aggroed and ran at me.
Is it just buggy or did they actually add a mechanic to prevent you from skipping certain routes/statues?
Also kind of troll that the zone just insta spits you out when w2 boss dies so if quartermaster isn't on you dont get to keep boss drops.

RUN with Tenebrae Runes up. 2x Light Carol on the RUN. Eat some Miso Ramen and any other Magic Evasion boosts you have handy. No geo in my group for attunement/vex (I kill faster with a RDM over GEO for these, talk to the stopwatch and my NiTro recast timers), but this didnt cut it at all.
Got 7 charms off on my RUN before I hit a wall because everyone was weak: resisted 1 and it was prefaced with "Resist!" which suggests a Tenacity/resist all ailments proc, not an ele resist.
We used defensive rolls/songs and stopped TP feed when the RUN was charmed, had the RDM sit at max cast range targeting whoever had enmity with a finger on the sleep button.
You can also bind/gravity and go up/down a floor if hate gets super weird and you need to reset.
We tried doing it with pets only (pup tank and SMN DD) and that does work, but it's very slow compared to melee. Might need more than one puppet to trade hate if doing a whole NM that way. |

Blm with Mythic staff has huge advantages in macc and even more dmg with AM3 up. Their AM3 WS happens to be Vido which also gives mdef down on the mob in addition to the AM3 buffs.
Was under the impression the mythic staves struggled because they have 10 INT(enki) vs the 28ish club/shield provides |

I got the ring cheap and might get around to doing proper testing at some point but mastery rank is consuming all my time lol.
Just anecdotally from two omen runs (not cleaving so I had chances to upgrade) it feels like a small increase in proc rate, drops weren't significantly changed.
I tend to agree it's most likely increasing a multiplier from 23%(from job points) to 28%, until I have proper data.

Given how low the base rate increase is at higher levels(<1%) and that was seemingly with the stacked up 21% gifts 5% isnt likely to move the needle much either to be easily visible. Its just one of the few pieces that actually do push th upgrade rates(inb4 it doesnt actually work for some reason).

Except you're not saying the same thing and you ended your post with "I dont believe any testing as been done showing a difference between TH8 and TH14 in gear" when there has been testing done and it leans towards suggesting that gearing TH9+ has no benefit. |
