no surprise nintendo tried this, they literally cannot do anything but rehash old IPs and milk loyal fans over and over again. makes perfect sense they don't want anyone able to even remotely copy their favorite gameplay formulas. more surprising it actually worked.

- FINAL FANTASY XI
[Update Details]
- In Limbus, the Notorious Monster deployed in the version update on September 9 was configured to be stronger than intended and so we have lowered their status in consideration of future updates.
The following issue has been addressed:
- In Limbus, if a Slug summoned by a beastmaster performed the Purulent Ooze special attack against certain monsters, it would cause the target’s HP to become 1.
So bad news they probably ended our BST fun, good news they supposedly weakened the NMs Can't help but notice they use singular for "Notorius Monster".
Did they fix a single one? If so which? Or is it a typo and they meant monsterS?

probably based on martel's post, but broken and too strong aren't the same thing.

more alarming is that they considered them too strong and nerfed in less than 24 hours after release. that's definitely a first.

The max HP buff explanation is the most likely to me. Using something like that would allow them to more easily scale the HP to the amount of players on server, amount of people in the zone, amount of limbuses killed, or some other population adjusted measure.
I highly doubt anyone's made a controlled attempt to see how much HP they actually have (would be difficult since you likely lose a ton of info to packet drop with that many people), but curious if it's actually the same on Asura as small servers.

The most likely explanation is that these have very low native HP, with an atma-like buffs that give them a Max HP Up buff. Purulent Ooze applies a Max HP Down that overwrites it, and then the DoT does the rest.
Mannequins aren't normally an enemy NPC but thinking that they are is indeed hilarious.

How do you tell if the boss has light or dark aura? it looks the same, anyone know?
Otherwise doing it the "proper way" becomes a guessing game.
I kept boss lullabied until all adds aura down and killed, redo rolls, pop 1hr SV Bolster etc, and zerged him.

There is that thing in law that its effects can not retroact. It makes no sense a company alledge copyrights from something was already establish prior.
Also, it shouldnt be possible to create patents for something so generic.
Finally, if Nintendo is planning using those “patents” to sue others, most likely the laws gonna be revisited, as this is too predatory. Using patents created after to sue competition is not protecting their IP by any means: they are using law not to defend but to attack.
This is a misuse of legislation, and must be criticized not only for the companies that are affected, but by society in general, because someone who uses law as a weapon is a danger to society.

Basically I always open the chest in SE #4 for Apollyon and Central #4 for Temenos.
After the first time I got my 5k (which wasn't necessarily on the very first chest I opened there) I've never got another 5k chest again.
Which in itself does't necessarily mean anything.
I've opened like, what, ~17 chests on each zone and seen only a single 5k in each. So what? 1 on 17 could simply mean a low chance.
I've opened, not with a purpose but randomly, a chest in other towers instead of the ones mentioned, and saw one 5k every ~2 attempts.
Which, once more, doesn't necessarily mean anything and could very well be confirmation bias, but it could also mean there's something at play here, to promote opening chests in different zones and it resets once you've got a 5k in each tower?
I dunno, what do you people think about it?

If torrenting was still a thing, I'd watch way less.
Ease of access it's just streaming, but free.
Like, till~2017 I'd never download a tv series. Just movies. If I had to download wednesday or alien earth, I probably wouldn't bother.
It's just, there, whether I watch it or not, it's still there. I still torrent and use piratebay. Sometimes streaming just goes to ***on all the streaming websites I know, do I just download whatever I'm watching and watch it that way. Somehow streaming fails when it takes 30s to download, like that makes any sense.

P.S.
I stole the Vit info from the python script for optimizing gear
|
|
 |
|
It might be a lot of data but instead of "Enemy Vit" it should be "Enemy Name" with the VIT already stored. That's a calculator I'd use.

only played like an hour or 2 so far but it's great. i enjoyed the original to the point of bruteforcing a 112% complete so im maybe biased, but yeah not mad at all with it so far.
has the feel of the OG but hornet plays a lot different than the vessel did and it seems theyve improved the charm system a lot. will be interested to see if there's stuff like boss pantheons and a path of pain type thing.

Not really a Hollow Knight fan, so no. Didn't appeal to me when I heard about Hollow Knight. Have no inclination towards Silksong. *shrug*

More likely it's due to the fact that Limbus monsters have/had that stat-allotment mechanic where their ilvl resets on agro/deagro, which refills their HP as well. (as a zone wide mechanic)
It was altered for the iLvl monsters, but the NMs are supposed to be static level.
This means that the NMs had to be programmed in to follow the rest of the way the monsters in zone are coded, so they had to have a deagro'd state and agro'd state HP values.
Obviously, they are set to always be in their agro state stat values, but the base value state still exists. The regular monster's intiailly used to CON as Incredibly Easy before agro or pull, but had their values adjusted after the "fix" for pulling with Silence and the like.
Basically they set the NMs to always be in the, "1" position, agro'd, but for some reason, Arthur's Purulent Ooze adjusts their HP into the "0" position, which I suspect means all of their stats are simply 1 in said position.
It doesn't work this way on any other monsters in Limbus because their "0" position has higher stats than their "1" position.
It's like uhh, intern mistake. He just set the state he thought the NM would never be in to all 1s, cause that's the easiest/quickest integer to enter, and called it good. Set the mob stats to always be in "1" but the HP can't go back up as part of this gimmick, and there's a case in there where passive regen is also ticked off.
So the Ooze is tricking NMs into believing they aren't spawned, so they get their minimum stats and die.
Right like, cause it can't really be Overflow. HP down just works in set%HP = NewmaxHP. It's not healing and breaking a data point. It's setting 1HP to be 90% of 1 HP, because adjusting the NMs' HP total is causing a false flag interaction with Limbus HP coding.
That's my guess, anyway. Byrth's #3.
