i swear I saw an addon that would make ??? and similar spots highly visible without targeting them but maybe it was a only a mock up, figure someone would have done it long ago if it were easy, like the glow from HELM spots
Rubenator was working on an addon called 'sparkles' that does this. There's a development version available in the Windower Discord. I don't know if he ever finished it, though. I don't see it available in the Windower launcher yet.

Easy to forget fencer also has a crit rate bonus of +7% And was he off handing club on /nin? Kclub damage is of course terrible. But da 12, crit rate plus, higher attack and to bonus can add up.
Do you have the ws damage to white damage ratio? Using same pet?
How much of a damage difference are we talking about?
Bst gets a 630 to bonus from fencer with gifts. With moonshade earring that's 880 total to bonus. It would be rare to do ws less than 2k tp. A lot of ppl seem to forget the gifts
If you are not capping attack, crit hits would be a more signicant boost.

I can't imagine them ever doing it but if you could change the paths on nyame whenever you want at the porter moogle so you could adjust your paths depending on your job that would remedy many conplaints

Haven't had a chance to test the staves, but I think I found something even better than the two magic gloves I had before.
I don't think I'm beating these.
as a rule of thumb for smn damage, 1 bp damage = 2.5 mab for all magical bp's, for physical attacking ones, ive been told the formula is more skewed in favor of bp as well, closer to 1:5. for hybrids, revert back to the 1 mab : 2 attack ratio. so for example, 10 mab and 21 attack would be great if that's the best you have, but 11 mab and 20 attack would be better.

Unfortunately, I need to update this:
We are currently looking for 2 players.
Paladin-
Anytime, but we have someone filling in through the next 2-4 weeks. None of us currently can flex PLD
Dancer OR Red Mage OR Corsair OR Bard-
Due to IRL, our DNC suddenly has to leave the group and we can accommodate any of those 4 jobs.
Please refer to the 1st page for details.
We can teach people the content and bear with you in the learning process, but there are some degree of expectations as far as experience in sortie, knowledge of mechanics, and at least a certain level of gear.
I have no problem helping people get clears of things on the side to get them up to speed, but building someone up from scratch just doesnt seem reasonable.
Reach out to me anywhere you can, as mentioned before! I rarely log off and I'll even see your /tells if you send them. I look forward to having a convo with anyone!

Whm lives would be much easier if everyone stopped wearing trash escha/UNM gear for tp. Just saying.
I am already afraid at the amount of Tatenashi bodies I will have to cure in the coming weeks.

Oh, look, it does feel like a power up!
Maybe not a infection but an evolution???

It's amnesia so id assume its less than 5% even with all the macc available. Players can't have nice things

Anyone do any testing with the Vermeil Bhuj since Macc gear became a thing for melees? Any decency in proc or duration nowadays?

Unlocking nyame would mean that in game known from having fantastic horizontal gearing options, you would end up with 85-90% of tp sets ws sets, nuke sets being the same and even worse all of them coming from same place, locked beside same fight. Again I understand the frustration of pet jobs wanting both B and D pieces, but you are trying to fix you problem by creating a much larger one.

If you play WHM
You have to put your foot down
If anyone in the group isn't prepared for the content
Kick them
I've joined countless pick up groups
Where like several members are rocking outdated gear
All 16 slots complete junk like sparks / ambuscade crap
These limp dinks even have the nerve to blame you
If things go sour

No clue what you're referring to, but since you're being cryptic instead of just saying it, whatever.

Today in sortie for Casket B1, I was able to replicate the issue.
Step 1: clear all of A normal objectives on foot (everything but boss)
Step 2: proceed to B on foot, passing through D fomor rooms shortcut, so I qualify for Chest B5
Step 3: go straight to bitzer+device and get Chest B2+B5, click both device and bitzer
Step 4: teleport down to basement F and do empy lockstyle clear, and come back to B
Step 5: step out and kill the entire fire elemental room. Most of my kills were sub 15s. I acquired Chest B3, but Casket B1 never spawned.
Step 6: Now for the test, leave back to bitzer b and teleport to d
Step 7: toss my wing for Chest d2
Step 8: warp back to b, respawn wing
Step 9: go back out and kill elementals
Step 10: kill 1 elemental slow, then 1 sub 15s, and Casket b1 spawned
This is making me think so.ething related to teleporting is necessary for Casket b1
I think it makes sense as a clever trick since the same wing has Chest b5, which aasks you to not teleport.
I expect anyone teleporting counts, so if people split up the condition always is satisfied so ppl don't notice
Did another test today, this time I ensured I teleported to D to toss my wing after step 4, and then teleported back to start my process of killing the fire elementals.
Got Casket B1 right away, straight up on my third kill, even my initial "charge up" first elemental was fast enough I guess to count.
So I'm pretty confident now you have to teleport at least once and effectively not be in a state to qualify for chest B5 to get Casket B2
If anyone else wants to test and confirm this I'd love to see others try it out, but overall Im just gonna do it in this order now as a precaution since it doesnt really impact my run time anyways if I go and toss my wing in D first anyways.

In mild defense of BST- it's fine for Omen. You can duo with a bard or geomancer the entirety of Omen on beastmaster, and you can probably solo most everything but Kei and maybe Ou. If you are going over 6 players, BST is excellent in Dyna-D, too. Geas Fete is old content, that BST is fine in, for the most part. I've done an entire aeonic run on BST.
Outside of support I'm not sure how helpful it is to highlight what jobs are used in these older events? The chart pretty much just parrots what's used for current endgame onto this old stuff. DNC and DRG for example are currently strong/useful but you don't necessarily see them in Geas Fete, Omen, Dyna-D, or Ambuscade.
You guys think about optimal way to play FFXI. It's very possible to play old content without much support or with support trusts and do quite all right.
Of course it is. But clearing even older content needs support jobs.
LS does dyna D. LS members want clears so they can augment and request w3 boss. Leader says great, for w3 we need one core party whm brd cor tank dd dd. Anything else is extra bonus.
Guys that need clears all jump to be the dd. Leader says everyone and their mother has a decent dd. Do we have any bards, whms or tanks capable of doing w3?
Crickets.
You can most definitely farm w2 with a mismatched group of whatever.
Tale as old as time right here, sadly.
