which makes it messy to try and use the windows key as a modifier for key binds.
Doesn't it disable the ability to do that?

Nothing beats RDM and SCH for soloing hard content. Both can solo some incredibly high level NMs ranging from Ilvl 135 to Ilvl 150.
SCH can solo v15 Marmorkrebs if Aura is nice.

Outside of SCH + RDM being stupidly OP most jobs can work/solo a ton of content with trusts. Just healer trust, trust to cap magic haste, potentially Rolls and most jobs can be "decent" at soloing.

If you're still stuck in 75 cap mindset of no trusts for soloing, then go play RDM or SCH. Other than that, almost any job can work for the content if you just try. Currently PUP is attempting solo Schah, and RUN and PLD can solo Erinys. BST could solo Kouryu. The list goes on. Just get the correct trusts and almost any job can work... WHM can solo some Omen bosses for example.

What makes Wow "the new era"? Quest markers and the lack of airships and boat time sinks (the latter actually having content within)?

There is difference between being able to enter Sortie solo to make progress on empyrean armor vs trying to solo a prime. They were very clearly talking about the former Eiryl.

No, they were talking about Prime weapon, but I think they said that you will be able to progress solo, not to finish it solo.

To the extent that prime weapon progress is required to complete TVR. There was no real expectation that a player would be able to solo a prime start to finish.

Remember that primes were said to be soloable, too.

Maybe there is some solo strategy for Aminon, that we havent figured out yet ;)

Your being capped has no effect on your ability to sell party slots to everyone else.

The 24/7 entry conditions, the variable difficulty as well as their implicit statement about the content being solo-friendly make it sound like any cap would be reasonably obtainable.

I understand that you have a deeper connection to RMT than I do, but it doesn't strike me as the type of event that will be lucrative for mercs or RMT unless it's added later with NMs.

So, while I have been unable to find a configuration setting, I believe restoring the ability to use previews while exiting a 3d application *might* be the way to do it. You can still freely alt-tab back and forth between 2 applications if one of them displays previews, the issue is that the current place in tab order never resets while hitting the combination in an effected application.

Enabling windows key in ashita enables the window previews, which solves the primary problem and allows you to swap back and forth. The bug likely still exists in circumstances where previews cannot be shown, but I can alt-tab as usual now. I also have snap windows disabled, Show tabs from apps when snapping set to don't show tabs, and title bar window shake off, FWIW.

I don't know why this would be the case, but check similar setting in windower. Could be something to do with the way alt-tab is internally coded. On the technical side, what this setting does is enable the DISCL_NOWINKEY flag in the SetCooperativeLevel call of the game's IDirectInputDevice8 object. I assume windower's works the same way, but if not this should be all the info they need to offer you a fix.

Just installed on a new PC, can you spoonfeed me a retard proof way to set this up for windower?

It's so annoying.

I mean, they wouldn't keep something like that secret and they haven't said anything about it, so probably definitely not.

WoW is the same age as XI and you don't get that there.
False. Not just the few years difference in the age of the games but XI is of the Everquest generation of MMOs. WoW STARTED the next generation of MMOs.

And much to my disappointment we are STILL in the WoW generation.
FFXI released 2002
WOW released 2004

Blizzard started development for WoW in 1999, the same year SE started development for FFXI

It was a total paradigm shift.

Yes, XI is not what it was. But it still has time sinks like airships and boats taking actual travel time. Has it gained quest markers? (Did EQ have quest markers?) I could go on and on with the differences of the EQ era and the WoW era but, in a nutshell, XI followed a formula WoW set out to break that formula and it did.

Wwhat would your reason be for staying in the zone if you'd already capped your points? I feel like people are setting themselves up for disappointment if they're thinking the ML gains will be as good or better than what we have now.

Well its speculation, even if it was Ody C level gains thats pretty respectable for ep gaining while you work on a piece/set, as said it could be a point usage cap instead of a point cap itself, and could very well have comparable ML grinding mobs.

Though if it is, then itll get botted to hell so thatll be its own can of worms that will be an annoying thing within 24 hrs

Yoshida was brought in on 14 after studying WoW pretty extensively, right? So to SE, at least, it was different enough from other MMOs of the time for them to want to copy it. Granted this was after years of operation for both MMOs, and obviously WoW had grown beyond imagination while FFXI and FFXIV 1.0 came nowhere close.

Would be interesting to see sub numbers side by side in the 2005 timeframe

What's the evasion level of Locus Armet Beetles in KRT?

I know they do the +25% evasion TP move

But before that?

Which means there will be daily caps.

1 piece of AF and 1 piece of relic per weekly reset.

Much like sortie, it won't really matter how many points or w/e currency it is because something else is actually the bottleneck.

I wish audiobooks weren't so expensive. My eyesight has deteriorated quite a bit over the years and reading books in print has become a lot harder. I understand why they are pricey, just have to be picky I guess.

Yeah, I like hearing books while walking.

What I usually do is to copy and paste the book text to Text to Speech app.

It is an overhead, but it is more effective than reading page by page for someone like me, that potentually have problems with focusing.

I also tried browser native reader. Its performance was quote underwhelming, stopping the speech, taking long to start etc.

The browser reading per se was quote good, but I suppose they cant just give a good product for free, so it is a buggy app

I remember once studying Elasticshearch stack, noticed that the free version hadnt authentication features,

Then I read a pretty true post complaining about that, that security is a need, not a plus. While logically understandable locking behind a pay product the production ready stack, it is morally questionable releasing a product that will expose data to unintended public.

And I feel the same about audiobooks. Reading my UX course, a lot about accessibility is discussed. While sometimes I feel they exhagerated, I fully agree with the relevance of having it available is a human empathy trait.

And seeing they locking audiobooks behind a price wall, kinda defeats this. That is, for a product to be more accessible, you need to pay more, and this makes is less accessible.

Again, logically understandable, just ethically questionable.

I will never understand this doomer mindset that can be seen on here (specifically here), WoW is the same age as XI and you don't get that there. Same for almost every other mmorpg. You don't see it on places like the XI reddit sub either, they are just happy to be playing the game.

It's a hobby, it's a game you play as a hobby. Some of you take this way too seriously. I never read people talking like this anywhere else, not on WoW, OSRS, Everquest or anywhere else.

I think it's just a bunch of depressed people honestly.

Go take a pill.

Spare us the hypocrisy. Coming from the guy that constantly doom and glooms SE, Sony, every video game company out there, and always ends up being wrong. Go take your own pill and get back to Reddit. Seriously, a complete joke post.

- One shared Limbus currency if we are lucky.
I believe they already said that AF and Relic +4 are separate areas (I dont remember which is which, so I'll keep it at that), so its likely separate currency.

SE said:
For those of you looking to reforge relic armor, please head to Temenos; and those of you wishing to reforge artifact armor will want to head to Apollyon.
That doesn't explicitly say points or currency though. Could be shared points, different items, for example.

trying to group with people and they're like "naaah ill just do it (aka bot it) with my 6"
