20hrs is dumb anyway, keep it simple. do you really enjoy adjusting your event schedules at different times just to squeeze in an extra run? not me. in the grand scheme of things 1 extra sortie run means very little.

Eh, I always liked the 20 hour designation. It's once a day; you don't need to go immediately when the 20 hours run up. God forbid we get a little flexibility.

A human can build from years of experiences to create unique art to share with the world and inspire millions

A LLM can build from years of experiences fed to it to create unique art to share with the world and inspire millions.

Do you deem yourself able to judge which of the two is allowed to exist or the truer "art"?
No. But I will add that unique =/= original.

A human wrote the software specifically to create those graphics, in real time. The human did not draw it. But the software is human made for that purpose.

Is that not art?
Yes, it is. But it isn't AI.

In an imagined scenario, there is a red button, if you press it you will get 1 million 100% of time. And then there is a blue button, if you press it you will get 3 billion 50% of time
When you mentioned this hypothetical, I remembered one from Calculus:

Tell people you're giving them the choice between receiving 1kg of gold right now, VS getting 500g right now then receiving daily payments of a % of every remaining amount for life
Now let's assume that % is 40%. From what I heard, some people will opt to go for the second choice (money FOR LIFE!) despite it meaning they will never get the full 1kg of gold.

Now if that % is 51%, things are different, and they will get their 1kg very soon and then some.

I feel this example is closer to conveying what you wanted to convey (since it's more cut-and-dry and doesnt depend much on the person's circumstances, just their math ability)

I mean, the 1/5 rate isn't great, but the actual system of Ruspix's plate offers significant advantages over older systems like Omen, Dynamis [D] (before the added a Ruspix plate-style system, and Odyssey.

If you do Odyssey every 24 hours, you're wasting 4 hours' worth of time every day and will never get a double run.

If you do Dynamis [D] every 3 days, you're wasting 12 hours' worth of time every run. If you do it 4 days the next time, to stay at twice/week on the same days-of-week, you're wasting 42 hours the second time.

Ruspix's plate solves all of these inefficiencies by automatically storing that time for you.

"Leaving well enough alone" in this case means perpetuating shitty systems and not trying to innovate on them or make them better which...I guess that is an option, but is that really what we want to encourage them to do?

is this not normal? my dad taught me knife throwing as a kid, so i have a set in my purse all the time.

Anyways, why are 12-14 year old girls in the UK carrying knives and hatchets all of a sudden? What happened over there that young girls feel the need to carry such things?

Perhaps AI can fill in the puzzle.

You may have a soul, but AI has something that most individual human being, including you and I don't fully have: data, numbers and statistics.

Those are things that could help humanity understand the world better. "Soul" doesn't do that.... except maybe interpret data when it's empathy related.

I love data, numbers and statistics. That's why I love AI.
lol
Yeah, AI is never wrong and AI has never been manipulated into giving wrong answers, especially to other people after what others have told it.

I don't disagree with the gist of what you're saying, but it's still a poor example. The happiness gained from a shift from -200k net worth to +2.9998b isn't double the happiness gained from going -200k to 800k.

Obviously if you've already got financial security, the tradeoff is a bit different.

getting rid of emotional hindrance.

This is what I really meant when I said AI has what humans don't have. They don't have a soul, but they have math and statistics!

You say that because you dont properly watched Matrix, but proving something based on a movie is weak.

Lets say about unsupervised ML model: its funny how it says a lot about humans and machines in its nature.

Your ML model will never learn unless you add a probability of it making a supposelly non-optimal decision. It purposelly has to try "unneficient" routes to maybe finding a better solution.

And that pretty much sums up why you have the wrong perception about AI and human worth.

Only a human can make a statistically wrong decision, and end up with the best solution.

Maybe machines can make the current life easier. But only humans can lead the civilization further.

I thought I remembered using double SV marches/haste/indi-haste when a SCH stunner died previously and we needed to keep going.

This wouldn't take too long to test, really. >.>

I haven't done testing myself so take it with a grain of salt but anecdotally
Honestly, this was my feeling as well.
But I haven't tested it in a methodic and schematic way, it's just a "feeling", so I can see three possible outcomes in this feeling we both shared:

1) Just a feeling. Even with all the haste we got, we were still far from the ~143.75% requirement, hence why we were still slow while meleeing and our recast were ***

2) Weakened 100% slow is not magic slow, which means different term. So adding magic haste will help up to 43,75% total magic haste, and be ignored past that, meaning you will still be somewhat slow even with lotsa magic haste.

3) Weakened is not 100% slow but something else that halves your speed/doubles recast, which means having a lot of haste will produce some effect but never fully counteract it

On a side note, today I couldnt open Uoutube on my old iPad (4th generation(.

I wonder if it something unexpected of if YT dropped support and compatibility to my old Safari.

If its the latter, it would suck so much...

I haven't done testing myself so take it with a grain of salt but anecdotally, when weakened in sheol gaol, I usually get 2 marches from BRD, at least haste 1, and sometimes geo haste and the recast on arise is still ***. I think it takes your recast after gear and magic haste, then doubles it. Similarly with lots of haste buffs while weakened, you still attack slow as pisa

Haste Samba from DNC is a complete game changer for Fencer build. For example on WAR it pushes Farsha AM3 fencer build from being significantly behind 2handers to being significantly ahead of them.
By Nariont on 2025-08-26 02:08:04
For war and bst im not sure theres a DW setup that can beat single wield if you have a full potency haste samba going. Being 2% off delay cap but not losing 25~30% of your TP gained(with /nin you're actually 19% overcap with samba) is a very nice trade and that's before the TP bonus/crit boost of fencer unless you're using a WS that has no scaling maybe
By Akumasama on 2025-08-26 01:47:30
Well, if it indeed is considered magic slow, then you can totally counter it, but you're gonna need A *** of haste, after all 100% is a huge number and >143.75% magic haste would be necessary.

If it's not magic slow but something else, then pretty confident you won't be able to counter it.
Or rather, you would be able to gain the normal 43,75% magic haste and anything above that would be moot.
Because after all this is what we were talking about, in other terms, right? Situations where you can benefit from more than 43,75% magic haste.
By maletaru on 2025-08-26 01:28:13
I don't think the slow from weakness can be countered by over-capping haste.

It would be quite trivial to check.

Weird test considering the number difference of the other jobs
And not using all the stuff you didn’t use

I’ve always been pro /war since r15s

At this point in 11 when I am subbed I just try to make it feel like a fun game and not a stressful job that doesn’t pay
Which to me means joining an ls party on whatever job I feel like playing and trying to enjoy my time after waiting 3-18 hours to find a pt to begin with because for whatever reason if a party is already going they do not reply to tells
If anything it shows you could have been a lot stronger
And I always find it fun reading parse data about my favorite job
Around 10m an hour is what I remember getting in krt and real dds around 17-25m
Doesn’t discourage me because I don’t even try to be the best I just want to have fun and fit in enough to get accepted for the next pt
Thank you for your data
By Akumasama on 2025-08-26 00:47:39
My next question now is... is there some slow in game that's not "magic"?
Because slow (spell) and slow (aura) gotta be magic haste.
Is there something else that's not magic and, hence, not possible to counter with Marches and indi-haste?

I can't think of a debuff that's slow and not magic.
Weakened comes to mind, in theory it's 100% slow, wonder if that's considered "magic" or something else.

Indi-haste is ~41% magic haste, 3x Marches is ~64% magic haste (total: ~105%)
Respectively ~82% and ~128% with Bolster and SV (total: ~210%)

So IN THEORY to fully counter weakened, if we assume it to be magic slow and hence on the same term, you would either need 3x Marches and Bolster indihaste, or indi-haste and SV marches.

Did I miss anything?

Yeah, the MNKs don't have a hard job. Having only 3 Absorb TPs with double MNK might cause some extra stress at least. Really need to make sure you're spacing your Absorbs by 4 seconds throughout the fight. Still not sure if the Regain on Hard mode will prevent double MNK from working with only 3 ATPs, but I'll have the answer in a few months if nobody else does before then. I'm already trying to limit my multi-attack in my TP set for Aminon, but I can always get rid of a bit more if Hard mode starts getting TP moves off.
You could theoretically have one of or both of the Monks sub drk for extra absorbs, if you wanted to, couldn't ya?
