My go to, for Limbus especially, has been Neagling, Diamond Aspis and Ullr. Using RDM/BLM for all of this for crowd control and MB boost damage.

Savage Blade (Light)> Burst or CDC (Light)> Burst

This has for the most part been great for mowing down most mobs quickly. Using Enspell 2 and Burn to boost what ever burst damage im doin.

Back read previous page and saw Vyre say 40-48 Amber. BG says 48-64 Amber for NM pop items. I've always used 80-100 with good success. FFXIclopdia has 4 different tiers for gold boxes based on the input number.

I didn't realize there is such a range of info out there on this. I guess you'll have to flip a coin on who to listen to.

That just makes you a worse AI than AI.

It's a campaign that's good for newbies or new characters. If you're new to XI, time extensions are more valuable, particularly to non-mages. Not every character has a gorillion Traverser Stones stocked.

It's a stand out campaign in that its the only thing id consider an anti-campaign. Good for people who want to easily stay in aby i guess but most of those people are doing to to farm something and constant red/blue chest reeeeeaaaally gets in the way of that

Today spent a couple hours in ulegrand. Farmed up 11 iron plates and 15 colorless souls.

In that time, I only ever saw a si gle gold chest that gave pops, it had 2 snow god cores in it.

About... 95% easily of my chests were blue. Got TEs out the whazzoo sure, but I'd barely ever even see gold caskets.

I'd do a cleave of like 15+ chests and get zero gold chests at all quite often.

I'll probably finish all my iron plates and souls and maybe, if Im lucky, assemble a single apademak popset lol.

I think I'll just focus on burning down the plates/souls, that way I don't have to pussyfoot around ruby kills hots with savage blade, and then do my horns in a couple weeks when abyssea lights turn off for a week.

If SE just made azure get set to like 100, this would be way less of an issue, but oh well.

Farm Amber to 40 or 48, and just farm the NM cycles. You'll luck out while always making consistent progress with the NMs. Regardless of the campaign. Slower, sure, but not that bad.

Debating booking a day or two off work for the week of Sept 8~12 during the short window that abyssea lights go away.

I have time saved up so honestly could use a lil staycation to crush out some apademaks...

Been back about 3 weeks from a 3 or 4 year break. Have been running around in sortie solo. Getting my bearings and doing the ground floor objectives while killing the 4 minor NMs. Can dnc solo any of the lower major NMs, like Ghatjot for example. Has anyone done any soloing on dnc in there, any advice or tips?

Anywho...I'll be in the UK for much of October, so I'll watch out for girls with sharp metal objects.

I think the key is getting the mob to ~5% HP with the auto-attacks that bring you up to 1k TP. I experimented with different atma/weapon setups until I was able to do this semi-reliably. I'd still kill mobs every once in a while when I double attacked or got a crit or something, but I could get maybe 70% of them and it was quite quick to get one down, so even if I murdered one by accident it wasn't a great loss.

I think in an ideal world: find some setup with another character that brings a group of mobs to low HP, like a BLU or BLM spell, and then AOE all of them to a low HP, melee an NM and Atonement each one of those guys down one at a time.

I'm working on my Burtgang trials and as advertised they suck. What atma do you use to speed them up?

It won't unless you're using lolTri-Edge and stick with Calamity only (and mistral axe i suppose).

I feel like abyssea lights campaign just sorta... *** up your ability to farm pop item chests (low amber light), doesn't it?

Do yall just wait for the campaign to be over and pick up farming then?

Trying to do apademak and Im almost entirely just getting blue chests, it completely ruins my ability to farm :/

Any workarounds or do I just suffer and wait for campaign to be over?

The issue with this is detecting it, which isn't too straightforward to do, or at least making a list of all cardian NPC names. If anyone provides me with either of those, I can add it easily.
