Ya i don't think I can support an idle set that lacks darkness resistance especially for someone who destroyed their wake up stick.

Opened a 5k chest for the first time in a very long time today, I had accidently missed one of the keys and had to go back so opened a different wing's chest than I always do.

Still random since only one character got it but its been a very long time since I've seen a 5k chest so thought it was interesting that it happened on a run that was a little different.

what does everyone use for aminon Knights of Round set? my acc was some dogshit tonight - using Miso Ramen +1 but could switch back to Omelette Sandwich or Behemoth Sandwich?

i believe it's been discussed, but there is not much difference in regards to KoR vs Imperator for Aminon dmg correct? im expecting to do like 5% total or less lol just wondering how i can help more or possibly make it more fun
I use Omelett Sandwich, dont forget Enlight II unless you use it.
Code
ammo="Crepuscular Pebble",
head={ name="Nyame Helm", augments={'Path: B',}},
body={ name="Nyame Mail", augments={'Path: B',}},
hands={ name="Nyame Gauntlets", augments={'Path: B',}},
legs={ name="Nyame Flanchard", augments={'Path: B',}},
feet="Nyame Sollerets",
neck="Rep. Plat. Medal",
waist={ name="Sailfi Belt +1", augments={'Path: A',}},
left_ear="Thrud Earring",
right_ear="Chev. Earring +2",
left_ring="Sroda Ring",
right_ring="Ephramad's Ring",
back={ name="Rudianos's Mantle", augments={'STR+20','Accuracy+20 Attack+20','STR+10','Weapon skill damage +10%','Phys. dmg. taken-10%',}},

Easymode I see KoR between 35-40k, Hardmode 25-30k.

Arete Del Sol is level 71 and drops from Cactrot Rapido.

You can't augment anything that's already augmented, including the Arete Del Sol you augmented yesterday.

Here's the a copy of my whm engaged set as of now.

WHMEngaedSet

So i spend a little time in excel

This is a gearset builder/comparions tool that lest you select gear from dropwdown boxes and see that defensive stats on the items and the set combined

You can set up 2 sets to compared where they are doing better/worse
There are still tons of tweaks and progress to be made

But if you want a copy let me know

One thing I have found is when I have multiple characters go one after another they usually get exact same augment just different values of the augment.
Like today one got 6 water 6 dark, the other got 4 water 5 dark, I've noticed this several times guess I should start tracking the game day and moon phase etc. "fun"

Hello, is anyone rocking a dnc TP set that is also DT capped, I'd like to have a look. I'd like to look at ppl's survive TP sets, stuff you wear on dnc to tp in sortie or v25's ect.

Was also wondering about ppl's earring selections for their TP sets. I have Sherida locked in one slot, but unsure on the other. I've switched back and forth between Balder +1, Telos, Dedition ect. I don't have a Maculele +2, and my +1 isn't anything special.

Cheers

Just so you don't math it out wrong: moonshade is 250 TP not 500.

Well, if you're settling in for 12 hours of crafting, that's 72k from the vendor versus like 4k and 15 fire crystals, that adds up.

Of course, I could just be biased because I was dumb enough to make the cooking shield first and now I need to do anything I can to justify it.

So I got to thinking, "man, spheres are a lot of work, why am I just going by vibes for my setup?" So, since I had a whole mess of cards to process, I did a bit of a test.

I set up one batch with +6 skill, moghancement: desynthesis, artificer's ring, craftmaster's ring, and kitron macarons (my usual setup of choice.)

The other was +9 skill (forgot to stow my debahocho). moghancement: desynthesis, artificer's ring, confectioner's ring, and coconut rusks.

I'm pretty sure the skill difference is a non-factor since spheres seem to be craft-agnostic synths, but I might run a second attempt with the opposite setups in the future just to be sure.

In both instances I budgeted 40% more synths than cards (for example, 427 earth crest cards meant 598 wind crystals to spend on making them into spheres.)

I could throw around a bunch of raw numbers but nobody cares, so bottom line is: rusks saw 1.491% less T1, 0.622% less T2, and 1.957% more T3 spheres, with 0.186% more cards destroyed. That's not exactly a huge difference.

(Rusk saw 51.238% T1 to macaron's 52.729%, 14.822% T2 to 15.444%, and 8.711% T3 to 6.754%, losses were 25.227% to 25.041%.)

You know what was a huge difference though? The number of unprocessed cards left over after the crystals ran out. The rusk had 6.774% of its cards left over; the macaron left behind a paltry 0.654% (and could have brought that down to 0% with ease - the crystals were budgeted by card element, and only three needed extra synths while the other five finished with synths to spare.)

So my tentative conclusion here is that the spheres you get aren't going to be too significantly impacted by your choice of crafting snack, but how long you spend getting them will be.

If you have time and crystals to burn, go with the coconut rusk, it's dirt cheap if you can bully a cook into crafting them for you and it might maybe goose your T3 results up a bit.

If you want your cards processed as efficiently as possible, go with kitron macarons, the actual difference in what you get from it doesn't seem statistically significant.

(As with any attempt at statistical analysis you find on these forums, this is just for entertainment purposes, results may vary. A study of a few hundred thousand cards worth of results wouldn't be definitive, this only has about five thousand cards backing it.)

Is fTP on Savage Blade gradual, or do you have to reach 2000 and 3000 TP to yield the higher fTP effects?

I'm thinking specifically about the 500 TP Bonus on Moonshade Earring. All things considered with nothing else equipped, will I see an fTP bonus at 1000 natural TP, or do I need to wait until I hit 1500 natural TP to trigger the fTP equivalent of 2000 TP?

Thanks everyone for responding. It sounds like everything can be summarized as follows:

  • fTP is gradual. 1500 TP is more damaging than 1000 TP, and 2000 TP is trivially more damaging than 1999 TP.

  • The fTP slope is steeper/higher between 1000 and 2000 TP vs. 2000 and 3000 TP.

  • Net 2000 TP is the optimal time to use Savage Blade because the TP/fTP payoff diminishes above that point.

Another reason to target an effective 2k TP is that every WS has 3 seconds of fixed delay where you cannot land melee hits associated with it, so WSing less often means less fixed delay.

That said, TP Bonus +1000 augment weapons, everyone with Moonshade, WAR with Fencer and/or Warcry, etc. there are lot of ways to get an effective 2k TP before 2000TP.

Its all about pathing. run too fast in a straight line for long enough and you will lose line of sight/smell/depop from outranging. Run zigzag and they will stay within range. It's only when returning to camp you have to worry about that since that's the longest stretch. You still have to run in front of beetles to aggro them instead of through them with sound aggro mobs, so it doesn't happen commonly tbh.

I could pull 50 or the entire zone (Hippomenes Socks +1 swap if I wanted to be cute), but what matters is the chain. So pulling the entire zone is less EP overall because of the time it takes to pull. You will lose chain by the time the next group comes in if you pull full zone. With BRD, you pull one side, 20-30 mobs or whatever, run to camp, lullaby, on route to next 20-30 mobs, repeat. By the time group 2 is killed, group 1 re-spawns. That was a way more efficient way to do it, and PLD is a wasted slot if you're using it as a puller.
Don't you lose chain anyway? I mean don't you have less than 30 seconds since last kill to keep the chain up after #38 or whatever it is?

Pulling the whole zone is, I dunno, 150 mobs? If you lose the chain you would get 0% bonus and then increase by 2% up to the first 50 mobs, then full 100% bonus for the remaining 100 deaths, which isn't too bad?
Then again pulling everything would take a LOT of time, and I agree your method of always keeping the flow of mobs sounds so much more efficicent in theory, I was just wondering if you really have time to pull, gather, sleep and kill a group of 30 mobs in less than 30 seconds without using flee hacks.
Seems a bit unreliable to me but if you say it was easy I'll trust you!

I mean the way my group did it is we took turns being the pld and cleaving for everyone else while they afk or just chat on discord. Much easier to not burn out if you only actually have to cleave 1/6 of the time.

Is there any way to check/know when the chocobo race is going to start (for monthly deed roe) or is it just show up and afk simulator? Was hoping there was an online schedule calculator or at least an npc in game
I believe they're roughly around :05/:20/:35/:50. Give or take.
