VR content is pretty lacking, but there is some absolute gems out there. Star Wars Rogue Squadron is really fun with a flight stick. Assetto Corsa is really good for racing/driving and has a huge modding community. I always fall back on Skyrim and Fallout 4 VR tho, they are still the best games out there imo.

The tech is really getting advanced and progressing quickly right now. The Quest 3 is a really good value, but I'd hold off because it seems like more and more headsets are coming with micro OLED displays. OLED is such a game changer from LCD. Being able to hit those no-light emitted black levels is amazing for immersion.

With Sterk's and the rest of above:

72/211=34%

This is aggregated across all weeks. Average across servers and all NM kills.

Basically I want to see if there is a baseline. It won't tell us how much NM kills affect it.

That's 4/4. First one is guaranteed.

I had done Apollyon already and got the guaranteed one there. I expected first temenos to be guaranteed as well but I went 4/6 on that first climb

I have been absolutely obsessed with these 3D full 360 captures lately. I just found this app called Scanniverse and I can't wait to try it out a bit. I've even been debating on buying a Quest 3 VR headset just to try it out more.

I'm pretty obsessed with VR and this kind of thing gets me very excited. It's refreshing to see more than stupid first person zombie shooters being developed for VR.

I've been trying out a bunch of travel apps for VR after getting my new Bigscreen Beyond 2 headset. It's almost unsettling how realistic it feels with the insane clarity of this new headset. It's almost enough to make you belive in simulation theory.

In FFXI, frame rate controls animation speed, but actually running faster would require messing with your system clock, I think?
By Shichishito on 2025-09-24 06:15:09
I remember reading that old games, I think the mentioned example was tomb raider, had the the movement speed or the overal speed of the whole game tied to frame rate so if you played it unpatched on a more recent PC the game supposedly played much faster than intended. Maybe you uncapped frame rate in your graphics card controls and XI has something similar going on?

Very lucky or previous week NM clears increased chance from ~40% to ~50%, but on Bahamut im 0/2 on main this week (im 1/9 on my main since I started last week and I actually killed 10 NMs...) and 4/12 on all chars...

QM takes precedence over all

If someone acts (lot or pass) on an item in treasure pool, it will force to whoever has QM.

Thank you! I’ll let my friend know

I’ve got two questions :o hopefully really easy.

1. What’s a rough target for NIN eva to aim for in this day and age?

2. We were doing The Orbs Rad 2 and null masque dropped. Friend lotted it. Everyone warped or passed and masque fell to the floor. One pt had QM on and floored the second they warped out. Can this affect it? Or something my buddy missed? Said he had inv space for it.

Completely turned off all addons and ran the game through windower with no addons and it still happened. Not sure what was going on, but I just completely uninstalled and removed all traces for FFXI and windower and then reinstalled from scratch and it seems to be fine now.
By Jinxs on 2025-09-23 21:11:40
Not sure
but the safest fallback method is to just add them yourself editing the xml

I usually use view map and then cntrl f the file for map.

make sure you do this on a job default so that it carries over to all sub jobs.

for rune enchantment I recommend use use Selins rune command and the cycle element command on the hotbar.
By Zohuro on 2025-09-23 20:49:19
Thanks for the response. I didn't realize I needed shortcuts. I just added it to Windowers too. I also made sure I am running the latest action_binder.lua but I am still getting the following runtime errors when I try to set up Rune Fencer with anything from the Rune Enchantment / Ward / Effusion menus under the "Select Action Type" menu:
/action_binder.lua640: "Self" is not defined for strings
/ui/selectablelist.lua337: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value)

The same rune enchantment abilities under the "Job Ability" menu are working well. But this menu does not include any of the Ward or Effusion abilities, I can't seem to set these ones up from the Ward/Effusion menus. Am I missing something?

I think the biggest issue with that though is all the dead NM's likely have their corpses laying around until sunday reset, since someone confirmed that only one of each job will spawn per week, and its possible to have 0 NM's on Saturday (22 jobs, 7x4 = 28). I havent run through Limbus with ASE running to confirm if dead NM's stick around for the week.

That's not a big issue, you can filter by valid_target in the entity's attributes, that should hide any invisible NPCs like inactive ??? marks and dead NMs.

OK, storytime, 1968 a good year decade for stories. Bellingham WA.

I had hired a local geology professor and aerobatic pilot to teach me aerobatic flying. He had gotten into flying to study mountains and into aerobatics because precision fun adrenaline sport. He was GOOD, like airshow performer while school is out for the summer good. Not an old fuddy duddy professor in the slightest.

I walk into the pilot's lounge (also the airport's passenger lounge) dressed in a common hippie chick look. Peasant blouse, jeans, fry boots, long hair down and flowing. Dead silence. Found my instructor and we walk out to his plane, a Citabra, while I put my hair in a ponytail. I preflight the aircraft we hop in and at his instruction I take off for the introductory lesson.

I had learned to fly in planes this size, Cessna 150's, but my only taildragger experience had been in war surplus Beech D18s, WAY bigger than these. So I was a bit nervous about the landing. It wasn't a three point landing but it wasn't a three bounce landing either. Well into the any landing you can walk away from bracket.

We walk into the lounge he says "Well, she can fly." Bang! I am instantly a member of the club.

Ancient history: Hippies were discovered by the media in 1967. In '68 Time magazine ran an article about how hippies were moving into mainstream America like real jobs, even important well paying ones.

The guys in the lounge had just been talking about this article. "The next thing you know some hippy will walk in here and want to rent an airplane."

That had been my entry line.

Ok right. Figured I'd ask if you maybe were just killing the fetter only.

But anyways, yeah just bad implementation on drop pools. Ou/Omen bosses have the same problem. I have no issue with them making getting drops easier, but it would seem to accomplish far more if they stopped making distribution for gear so terrible to begin with. They think it's extending the content for longer, but all it's making people do is skip the fight altogether and just buy the ***from Trove.

When you say fetter, are you talking about killing the spitewarden or the actual fetters?

Both. You need to kill the fetter in order to target the spirewarden and kill it, like Sheol.
