I worry about them making it easier to get htbf gear.

I always remember someone in my HHMLS that attended every camp for years, finally got his heca pants and stopped turning up. Then quit in a month, cause that was the only thing he had left he wanted to get.

If they are going to allow casual players to cap on this stuff easier they need add things for them to progress onto, like adding augments to htbf gear or adding hq sets etc

The flips side is that us filth 'casuals' are getting bored of running Lillith endlessly for the slimest of slim chance to get that final piece of gear.

Seriously, I'm able to solo on Easy with THF (not even VE!) reliably, and i'm still about 400+ runs and not finished. This is not fun, and gatekeeping from the community should be also told to gtfo - we don't all want hardcore endless grind. If you want that, go and get ML50 without botting.

Let's see what they do. Right now I'm "Nope" on grinding Limbus for matters.

"Revisions" usually means "lol we effed up and made it a bit too hard, soz". But who knows.

swapping out a piece or two of my Nyame for a different augment path

Keep in mind Nyame is also BiS for meva and DT. In some fights getting caught in dark matter augment WSD gear will get you one-shotted.

Not seen anyone say they got it yet, JP or EN. Going with "No".

And since they used the same words as last time for the new campaign that starts tomorrow, it won't be available then either.

I have the level 90 cloak, but I have been AMANing for the 99 version because I've always hated the shinryu fight.

I battled through 3 full malignance sets worth of easy Lilith's, but between full dispel and doom I just can't bring myself to farm Shinryu again.

Cosplay posts are called "marketing" in those circles.

Heard it first hand.

The problem with Lillith is it has so many drops, and also that if you already own a piece that can drop it won't load it into the loot pool.

So on your first 10 runs you can get 1-2 pieces, but then if those 1-2 pieces drop again on the next 20 runs the loot pool will load as nothing. So even if you are getting regular drops, it will appear as if you're getting nothing and that is disheartening.

So as you get more pieces the drop rate seems worse, cause you have RNG of a initial drop and then RNG of the specific item.

The obvious solution to this is if you already own a piece (say Daybreak) and that piece drops over and over, it will drop a shard instead from now on. Then you can trade 5 shards for the piece you want from an npc in WoE or something.

If it was me, I would add an additional system ontop of that to be able to trade 10 shards to HQ or add augments. That keeps this content relevant even when players cap, but we will see what they end up doing.

Couldn't have said it better, Lili.
The issue with the droprates still stands though.
Just because the gear is not "mandatory" doesn't mean that droprate is even remotely acceptable, it's absurd.
By Akumasama on 2025-09-25 05:04:48
I don't think Caith Sith, Alexander and Odin need it as much, granted I wouldn't complain if they released it for them as well.

For Lilith it was problematic because of the huge loot pool, the difficulty of the fight and how incredibly useful for a wide set of jobs is the loot.

For Shinryu it's a different matter, the stupid nonsensical drop rate makes it bad, and it also costs 30 merits. Wouldn't be that bad if the drop rate was, while low, at least reasonable.
The gear inside is very useful but I'm not sure I would put it on par with Malignance.
By Classikmage on 2025-09-25 04:59:54
Maybe they are using Lilith as a testing ground. And if it works to their expectations they will extend the system to all HTMB’s in the future?
By Pantafernando on 2025-09-25 04:55:02
This made me curioud indeed.

At this point, I hear more people complaining about Shinryu drop rate than Lilith.

Current method is direct drops from mobs. The other types of acquisition would be from an end chest, a direct drop to personal loot pool or a point system.

I would bet a point system?

Yes, they said on the livestream they want to make it easier for players to get this gear now. They want them to move onto getting other stuff, however imo that stuff is too hard for casuals and they are not taking that into account.
By Eiryl on 2025-09-25 04:53:37
There's a standing 2+ year grind for sortie and a 2+ year grind for limbus. They'll survive letting malig go.
By Classikmage on 2025-09-25 04:51:05
Are they raising the drop rate on Mailgnance hear lol?

Well... not like GEO is not "useable" without Idris!
But I agree I'm happy with this change, long due.

Now if only they could reach an intellegible "standard" for the nerf.
We have 3 types of nerf (90%, 75%, 50% iir?) and no way to tell where one of those is active, and where there's none.

This makes no sense at all, I'm surprised users haven't rioted already considering how much time this thing has been going on.
By Draylo on 2025-09-25 03:28:50
Hope thats true, those were the worst thing ever for a newer character. 6 month minimum is too much to make a job useable.
By Akumasama on 2025-09-25 03:14:08
So did we reach a consensus on the Archduke stuff?
Not available in game for now?

The patch notes were pretty clear its first time bonus only.
That's how I read it myself the first time around.

Granted, if you ask me, having the first chest guaranteed and the rest with the current drop rate (further influenced by previous week NMs killed) doesn't sound... broken?
It would still be a several months grind for each item, it would be perfectly in synergy with their approach of stimulating people to do weekly climbs without making the grind too fast.

Honestly yeah, they should change it to make so the first each week is guaranteed. It probably wouldn't change THAT much in the long run, but psychologically it would be an incredibly efficient carrot on a stick.

Felgar's list is very helpful. I have been debating swapping out a piece or two of my Nyame for a different augment path, but I haven't been fortunate enough to get WSD on the pieces I want to replace Nyame.

It was alright, finale was a let down though.

Seems like simply commenting "Nice OF ad" on a scantily clad thirsty "cosplay" post, of someone with a bio full of OF links, is enough to get you banned these days.

I said it was nice. Simps are so touchy.

I actually enjoyed it, felt like movie quality

The RP/Units grind alone takes 13 weeks to cap 1 piece of gear when limited to 50k/week. Currently this also requires you to grind random trash in Temenos to reach the 50k limit if your server doesn't get any ??? to spawn.
You would need about a 45% Matter drop rate if you wanted to finish Matters at around the same time you finished the Units grind. This is ignoring the possibility you'll be hitting your maximum Units cap before getting any Matters to spend Units on gear when augs only take <5k at early ranks. Putting Matters aside, it would take about half a year if you wanted to cap out both pieces from doing 5 Temenos and 5 Apollyon climbs every single week in addition to some free killing to get your last ~6k to hit your 50k cap.
I don't think making the Matter a 100% drop is that outlandish. This content would still last a while just due to the Units grind. Just have killing the NMs provide some other kind of reward.

By the time the next season rolls around in 2028 I won't even be interested.
By Asura.Eiryl on 2025-09-24 19:49:20
Meh. I never like when they cancel something I bothered to watch even if it's only a big meh.

It's still a story I took mild interest in and would see it through.
