I feel like affixes that have a wider spread of values to roll are generally more rare. Like TH and Refresh only roll +1 or +2 so a capped roll is less rare than a capped DT/phalanx roll, which is less rare than a capped WSD roll.

This is really bad advice for a number of reasons.

Giving % HP is a really strange suggestion, when the % is based on whatever your max HP is at the time. 5% on which job, which race, which subjob? What ML? It's a dumb idea.

A lot of people have max potency sets and max duration sets, or maybe 2-3 different mixes.

With max duration you can probably get around 15m duration, but it will lack a lot of potency. With max potency you should be at around 10 minutes, maybe slightly more. All of these numbers are before Naturalist's roll.

You can't get duration and potency on Telchine, it's the same augment type.

The squares aren't showing gear (likely) because there is no gear to enhance Regen in that slot. I typically fill those with Conserve MP, you can also do DT or whatever.

It probably isn't difficult, but it still requires that you position your character(or your tank/trusts) properly if you want to rely on AT to select your intended next target.


Ideally your tank is the only one facing the mobs at range. You are on the other side of the target facing your tank, with your back turned to the ranged mobs because you don't want to get block/parry/counter/conal/ect so you wouldn't target them anyway. For the situations where you don't have a choice, you do have the awareness to position yourself that it's not hard to switch to the correct target from there.


Sure it's annoying, but the number of people we have assigned to work on this game doesn't actually meet the standard of being called a 'team'. I think the time is better spent elsewhere.

Defaulting AT to 'off' would be a better use of time than trying to fix it. At least, I haven't heard any ideas on how to fix it that aren't essentially a sidegrade.

Playing FFT again on ps5 and thought I would be more excited. But really its the same game as always with barely updated visuals, the hardmode seems to literally just be them adding more damage, annoyingly, to mages and ranged characters. You should be fine. You can make it easier on yourself with a few things. Prebuff verve or have A SIRD Dream Flower set. Hippomenes Socks for flee proc in idle set. Can diamondhide beforehand for extra defense. Cocoon+Ice Spikes or Reactor Cool. Occultation. Phalanx as mentioned. Pull two packs, sleep if you need to, or subduction to create space between you and the mob. Rebuff. Pull more. Scouring Spate if you need additional defense vs your targets. Then begin your rotation (Entomb, Spectral Floe, Tenebral Crush etc). Can add more packs as you get more comfortable.
