Help me understand the fishing situation in SSG.

On both BG wiki and FFXIclopedia(So I assume it was just copy/pasted), the fishing guide lists both a lake AND a pond at J-12. For the life of me, I can't find anything except a single body of water. What am I missing? Did someone accidentally label the body of water both a lake and a pond and no one corrected it? Am I missing a body of water here? What's the deal?

I don’t think the AF bonus with regal earring is getting accounted for acc wise at least. I was toggling the hands into a WS set and checking my stats and it was only adding the acc from the hands swap and not the extra 15 with regal earring bonus.

Could someone explain to me how Zanshin and Zanhasso works?

My undestsnding is for Zanshin (Missed hits) we get 50% from Traits/JP and a further 5% from merits.

To calculate my Zanhasso % chance, I take Zanshin from Traits/JP/Merits, add this to gear and divide by 4?

In my case I get 55 + 33 / 4 = 22% Zanhasso rate?

I had a look at the simulator code and I see a base rate of Zanhasso as 35% and I cannot understand where it gets from:



I assume this 97% under multi attack is referring to regular Zanshin?

He was joking referencing recent discussion of guy using all available hacks to fully clear whole Sortie.

If you're getting blue screens, are you getting dump files? You can get WinDBG from free on the Microsoft store, run !analyze on the dump, and it can tell you exactly what's causing it.

If you're not getting dump files, but you're set up TO get them (I think by default Win10/11 does small memory dumps on BSODs) then it's more than likely the firmware on your SSD/NVME as it's crashing too quickly to make the dump file.

Regardless WinDBG and a dump file will point to exactly what's happening.

You will save an incredible amount of time with send and eliminating the tabbing

And you should have a gearswap by now

Oh, I am pretty confident it is because I am multiboxing and tabbing a ton. I am also using 5x pretty well geared PUPs and a WHM. I don't have any heavy DD jobs really on any character. Nor do I have a real tank. One PUP is geared as a tank to hold the mobs while the rest pick them off one by one.

Also, I really only use in-game macros. I have windower, but don't use gearswap (I may need to start, lol). So yeah, tabbing 4 times just to get all characters to deploy on 1 or 2 enemies is certainly not the most efficient.

Anyway, the above is precisely why I am looking to buy the KI :)
I will bump this here and there and continue trying on my own until I finally get it or I get a seller, and I am definitely all ears for different strategies using mainly Pet and Mage jobs using in-game macros and gearsets.

So I was recently looking to help some friends with this very objective and was possibly over preparing for it till someone told me they were able to do it on Sam with only trusts and 3x Hermes quenchers.

There is no reason why a party of six should not be able to do it.
Don't give up, find out where you are failing and improve or the rest of sortie will be even more difficult for you.

Is it your gear?
Is it bad macros?
Are you wasting too much time tabing to other characters? When you could be using send macros
