I like to just do triple amps on the same NM with 4 players since I like working on 1 set of armor at a time. Only done Xevioso, Kalunga, Arebati and Mboze so far, but the same-ish setups work for all 4 on each KI.
KI1: RUN SMN BST [Anything]. RUN and SMN not necessary on Kalunga.
Apogee Crescent Fang > Eclipse Bite for Distortion > Rayke > Ooze MB. Mewing spam afterwards to keep it from TPing.
KI2: WAR SCH GEO RDM
Tomahawk Helix MB. Gravity/Bind kiting to keep it from TPing.
Ki3: Varies by NM since the method is typically to just use the method one would normally use if going for a full win, so:
Xevioso: SAM BRD COR WHM (Zerg)
Kalunga: RUN DRK BRD WHM (Zerg)
Mboze: BLU BRD COR WHM (Tact Roll WSs only + RW/FT)
Arebati: PLD RNG COR WHM (Pew pew)
Usually we'll get KI3 to 75% then stop to avoid dealing with an add. Near the end we'll try to push to 74% for the next RP tier.

Back in February, windower updated and that update broke certain things for me, as I reported here back then. I lost all visual elements from plugins and addons outside the text log and could not see the console text.
As of this update, I'm happy to report that it's been fixed. I can once again see the console text and use addons that have visual elements outside the text log. I don't know if the windower team was finally able to nail the issue or if this is simply a happy coincidence, but either way, thank you.

Got an email this morning saying that 50% of each department had been furloughed, and that they were setting up a rotation for people that are off now to come back next week so the current group could have 2 weeks off. Thats fine with me, I'll do 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Spend the rest of the week here, go to Schlitterbahn today, do an inshore charter on Saturday, then back to work on Monday.

It's the same thing with macc skill on weapons and hybrid WS.

In theory an aeonic would be better for hybrids because of the tp bonus.

In practice primes often are break even or slightly ahead with hybrid WS due to their higher macc skill leading to less resists.

Honest question, not judging.
I've never had Ooze fail not even a single time with Undax3 Rayke + either SC or Frazzle3.
Not even once.

And I RPed like 4 pieces of Mboze's gear so I've had my good share of runs, especially because the majority of them were single runs and not supercharged ones.
So it's not like I'm saying this with the experience of a couple of random PUG Mboze RP runs, I've had my farily good share of em.

That was my argument for using it as well. Like I said, personal experience from using it on multiple jobs (blm, sch) doesn't add up.

Eg, on Sortie basement bosses. You get a lot more resists with Marin staff than you get with Mpaca's in basement bosses with an otherwise identical set.

If macc skill mattered so little, "~27 macc" would not cause resists so often. How often idk I don't have data other than "I tried it for 3-4 runs and it was crap compared to mpaca so I stopped using it".

If anyone wants to gather data and figure out the ratio macc skill to macc and resist rates.. by all means. Failing that, will refer back to "trash tier gear".

But but! ML50 is fine as it is because you don't need it for anything! So who cares if it's brokenly stupid to obtain it!

Ackchyually the Chocobo on the frame is from FF7.

I attempted to duo VD with NIN + BRD, had no problem silencing the dahak with brd/whm in a great mag acc set (mostly AF+4), problem was once I switched to the boss it was too much aura spam and had to use nearly all my tp from both characters to keep auras down and not much dps was getting done so it just kind of stalled out and couldn't make much progress from there eventually it would get a bad move off.

Full groups should easily zerg it down, could probably 3 man it pretty easily, just need one person doing some damage on top of the set up I had and I think it would have been fine.

Is there a reason why the GoV books don't have training missions for Apex/Locus mobs? I would love a more simple way to gain tabs. I hate using gil on survival guides.

(keep in mind that the Wind MAB is not additive with the regular mab, but multiplicative, so it's not 79 but a lot more for wind nukes)

On a hunch I'd say Mpaca to land debuffs, but this was not your question.
Then I guess Mpaca might be slightly better for Helix and for those extreme situations where for whatever reason Macc is vital.

Overall Marin should be better for high tier nukes, even if not wind based but moreso for those.

I was reviewing scholar gear sets and considering using staves.

Its nice to keep a staff equipped at times so tp gained thru Occult Acumen can be used for Myrkr.

From what I can see the top nuking staves for scholar should be:

1. Opashoro
2. Marin Staff +1
3. Mpaca's Staff

I wonder if anyone has done a more thorough comparison of Marin staff vs Mpaca's staff. I think Marin Staff +1 wins out, but I'm not 100% sure.

Marin Staff has a good lead in INT and minor in MAB (aside from wind)

I'm approaching ML50 on my main Sortie job, and I'm incredibly reluctant to HP anymore. For me it's not enough to say, hey you can just break even by doing more Sortie or Limbus. I need to actually get ahead by doing these events. The lost XP really hurts if you're not botting.

What makes ffxidb minimap shine?

I wish people still used the seek party feature. It's a function that exists, but it's long dead.

Now if you want real exp you gotta shout for it, and hope you get good folks.

It must work decently, because I've seen the same people on Bahamut shouting for real exp groups enough. Generally with a like, "Let's EXP for 1 hour. Maybe 2." tag line. And if you did that daily with really geared/good people, you could probably naturally get ML50 in a few months.

But I can never get up enough gumption to go do it, so I get most of my exemplar solo or from Ody C(and like maybe 11k from Sortie a day). I've been on overnighters for JP with folks who use the forbidden fruit, and one time I got my WAR in with a friend doing that. But typically, for whatever twist of fate reason, I always DC in the middle of the night unless it's earning JP. The one time I got my WAR in, I stayed up EXPing til we had Chain 522, and then couldn't stay awake anymore. Woke up to being DC'd, and had merely earned another 100k Exemplar before I DC'd.

And I got open to taking whatever EXP people wanna give me/get me after I did the Oboro grind solo with Trusts. You know. 15 weeks of earning 700 JP a week on a mastered job? That thing people tell you isn't worth your time?

Well, if you do it on Apex or Locus monsters that net you good Exemplar per kill, you reach about ML32 with half way to ML33. Pretty obvious to me after that, that most MLs are botted. That was 4 months of hardcore solo grinding on Apex Poxhounds and eventually Locus Ghost Crabs on my Warrior. Of course, my Warrior did most of that in Ambu +2 gearsets with some Empyrean +2/3 eventually.

Obviously that grind is gated by only being allowed to turn in 700 JP per week, but it's still a measure of 10k JP = ML32. Mastering 5 jobs = ML32.

This grind is insane. I'm ML44 now and, "close to ML45." Which is 600k Exemplar away. I'm 1mil and 50000 into my level buffer lmao. Jesus.
