I was talking about both the body and legs as replacements for Malignance. I just pointed to the legs specifically, because the Malignance legs have a lot of haste on them, and they're often important for capping. Obviously if you have Lehko's, you're good to go. I personally do not have that ring, and I prefer to use the Null Shawl and cap DW with my belt and earring (so no Sailfi), so I stick to Malignance Tights even when AM3 isn't active. The new Alabaster Earring might change that for me if I can get it to R30.

Also, I think everyone here knows this, but I just want to stress that despite the thread title this isn't specific to Caliburnus in any way. This is entirely about what is best to use when mythic AM3 isn't active on BLU. The advice on this thread is relevant whenever anyone is using Naegling, Maxentius, Caliburnus, SU5 sword, or even Tizona when AM3 isn't active. If the BLU guide only has a TP set listed assuming mythic AM3 is always active, that's kind of a huge oversight. There's a lot of content in this game where maintaining AM3 really isn't worth it. And IMO, going with a glass cannon build isn't really a good answer for any relevant endgame.
By Shadowmeld on 2025-09-18 12:20:14
he's using Lehko's Ring, so haste is a complete non-consideration in the set. It's going to be capped.

I can't say I really care about the crappy late-night hosts

The last time their political jokes were funny was when Bill Clinton was president.

If enough complaints get made about the Attohwa miasmas maybe they'll get removed like the Foret blushes.

Probably something like CL125.

This is about right. I normally do i124.

Event doesn't do red, not even SE is that out of touch.

As for how the miasma works, basically: "screw you." Maybe there's a timetable, but I find the most reliable way to predict it is "if you want to get through, there will be miasma in the way." The counteragent helps but not every spot you get blocked on has a trade point to feed it to. I hope whoever came up with that particular design decision is spending their days making sure chocobo *** feathers are properly animated over on FFXIV now.

That probably would have been awesome

I despise the manipulation behind the constant barrage of us vs. them everywhere you look. so much we could accomplish together if we wanted to. it permeates into every aspect of your life if you let it, and has very few tangible benefits.
By Jinxs on 2025-09-18 11:23:01
I skipped boxes entirely for Altepa the rotation was just to engaging and if I didn't get a tiger hide I just took one of my extras out of the dbox or kept on with the rotation

I didn't bother learning how the miasma worked for attowa and just kept on with boxes
experiment with 128-192 azure for future readers for time chests
The capped azure and red from event 255? Was cumbersome imo.
By Zenion on 2025-09-18 11:17:41
Oh, you mean lights-wise. I dunno, I don't find it too bad, if you go 255 amber you get a pretty good mix of gold and blue. What I learned last time I tried off campaign is that if you build amber but not blue, you still seem to get a bunch of blue chests, they're just garbage. That's why I recommend 192 azure on NM boxes; it's not going to let you have all gold boxes, may as well make the blue ones worthwhile.

(Also, Attohwa not being too bad to farm out normally, it can be worth doing on campaign just for the free instant access to time extension chests.)

Now, Altepa I would say is a total wash during the campaign. If your azure is fully capped, it's going to wash out lower level amber, and you just don't get the boxes you need.

The pathing for Glavoid I found best for me was:

Glavoid > worm > ladybug > #5 to #2 > eft > #2 to #4 > cockatrice > cockatrice nm > leopards > leopard nm > manticore > manticore nm > Glavoid

I think it's safe to establish 12-15mins traversal time per tower without looking at something like central
regardless of lvl and kill time

Alliance and high level 135 go very well for both opening chests and getting rewards and some exemplar
Ideal method

119 fantastic for speed running chests
60points a floor
No exemplar
Very safe can pull everything

I'd love to find an iLVL where I can feel the speed of 119 kills which is roughly 2ws + sc
When I can't group up so I can at least maximize the points for the time spent
By NynJa on 2025-09-18 10:52:40
People who grinded all their points via botting are now realizing their 30k cap is gonna be an issue.
By Jinxs on 2025-09-18 10:50:43
Guys you can always worry about the points later because you don't have to spend the item right away.

Goal should be the 5 chest per week by any means.
By dannyl on 2025-09-18 10:50:13
That is the kicker to all of this. The % chance of 3k vs. 5k and apparently now there is a % for matter or no matter. (I also read that 100% for first timers only. If at each conquest tally, then cool!) SE just needs to drop this % game for Limbus, given how grindy it is. BUT, I actually don't care either way, since I enjoy the climbs. /shock

Attowa is a no go during the campaign for abbysea

You're joking, right? I mean, I'd buy that if you were on Asura or something, but I spent two whole days in Attohwa last week and saw four other people zone in, only one of whom ever appeared near the Itzpapalotl farming gauntlet.

I just did this and al lot of this probably has been said
I completely skipped glavoid so I can't really offer my opinion on the experience however I appreciate people saying their experience with gold chests that was something I was going to try.

For attowa I got stuck between miasmas and eventually gave up doing anything but gold chests
I used chicos with capped gold and 128 azure since it took a while for me to build lights.
Tunga let's you default on that ki at least
And it's close by to the actual pop

I dboxed as many tiger king Hides as possible from the AH
And if I had 5mins to zone in.
This was a pain point for this zone as the other items act as a rotation while you wait for a respawn

Attowa is a no go during the campaign for abbysea

For Attowah you can buy Miasmal whatevers to make it go away.
I think I did all Itz scales in 2.5 stacks of them.

It's just getting more matter. The first murky and alabaset matter is 100% drop after each conquest tally, then it's just luck if you get more on your subsequent 4 runs that week. First matter gets you the base item. The next 30 matters raise the rank by 1 level each.

Are you sure? I hope you're right but I thought the drop was only guaranteed once based on the update notes. Maybe I'm misreading it or it's translated in a weird way but the "not affected by the treasure chest reset when the conquest results are tabulated" statement makes it sound like a one-time thing to me:

Characters that have never acquired Alabaster Matter or Murky Matter are guaranteed to acquire them the first time they unlock the content*.

* This only applies once per character and is not affected by the treasure chest reset when the conquest results are tabulated.

I actually like the idea of swapping adhemar bonnet +1 out for malignance chapeau and then swapping malignance boots out for +3/4 TA augmented herculean boots. Unless you really care about the crit damage bonus on the bonnet, even with a kind of crappy aug on herc boots you should have better acc.

Also XI players: "omg the units costs of these upgrades is so high"
