Do you have the key item for the job? Did you enter sortie with the job and go to a basement?
|
|
 |
|
I have everything I need to upgrade my chest armor from +2 to +3. I have the galli, the starstone and item itself. But Ruspix isnt taking them from me when i try to trade.
Anyone else run into this? Did you go into one of the basement floors on that job to get the KI to upgrade? Might be your problem.

Cecause Ebon light increases the value of all other lights, if I plan to be in there a while I leave Amber at 48, because after a point or two of Ebons I'll be squarely in the range I want for Amber.

Whatever you want to call it or however you want to read into it as to what SE's intentions are, the point is there's zero chance a Moogle is being added to the Limbus zones
|
|
 |

That TP set in the all jobs gear sets page is absolute dog water... using Gazu bracelets first and foremost, as well as some other piece are completely nonsensical. Your WAY too simulator brained if you think that's a good set

Chanti and Vyre might be the only ones that get this reference, since they are respectively history buffs and naval military men, but made me chuckle

Can someone please post an updated whm.lua?

They can't even allow you to use max amount of trusts due to the amount of soloers This would imply that they started with the limit of 5 trusts and was reduced later. Limbus was introduced with the limit of 3 trusts. Additionally, it was introduced with the mechanic that trusts count as party members for tracking kill counts.
SE is incentivizing partying up in Limbus the same way they incentivize partying up in Ambuscade by giving more gallantry for having more party members.

Adding a moogle to the limbus lobbies would be nice for changing jobs.
Why? There is a HP Crystal right outside the lobby area and the lobby area isn't actually that big. You can freely leave the lobby area to do whatever and come back to carry on where you left off. Odyssey only has a Moogle because changing jobs is directly tied to that content.

Limbus climbs right now feel like Odyssey before Gaol. If you don't feel the reward is worth the effort yet, that's fair. Hopefully SE continues to add rewards until that changes, but it already has an advantage in being non-instanced, alliance friendly content with weekly caps instead of daily lockouts.
I'd already rather do an i135 climb than go grind EP, and the design choices make it easier to find people to do that with than any content we've had in years.

They can't even allow you to use max amount of trusts due to the amount of soloers, i doubt they could even put a moogle there without breaking the zone. This is entirely open-world zone, not an instanced space like Odyssey Gaol where that might be ok for a limited number of players at a time.

I didnt look at the study, but the article says after so many simulated interactions the artificial society / social media devolved into mainly inflammatory and polarizing posts designed to outrage and drove engagement.
Because it got the most attention.

I've never seen a single player use this feature since i've even known it to exist, and im positive a large number of players have no clue it exists to begin with.
I tried to use it back in the day, once. It just ended up showing you groups of LFG, some of which were party leads. The number of people that need to use it to get anything out of it lends to a much bigger game.
A party can also request for members to join. It was a lot of UI and hardly ever got used in favour of seacoms, even back then.

Goal should be the 5 chest per week by any means (per zone, so 10 climbs total).
Before or after I throw up in my mouth?
SE: designs casual content, make it's so it would only be bearable 6 boxing. Refuses to elaborate.

I was talking about both the body and legs as replacements for Malignance. I just pointed to the legs specifically, because the Malignance legs have a lot of haste on them, and they're often important for capping. Obviously if you have Lehko's, you're good to go. I personally do not have that ring, and I prefer to use the Null Shawl and cap DW with my belt and earring (so no Sailfi), so I stick to Malignance Tights even when AM3 isn't active. The new Alabaster Earring might change that for me if I can get it to R30.
Also, I think everyone here knows this, but I just want to stress that despite the thread title this isn't specific to Caliburnus in any way. This is entirely about what is best to use when mythic AM3 isn't active on BLU. The advice on this thread is relevant whenever anyone is using Naegling, Maxentius, Caliburnus, SU5 sword, or even Tizona when AM3 isn't active. If the BLU guide only has a TP set listed assuming mythic AM3 is always active, that's kind of a huge oversight. There's a lot of content in this game where maintaining AM3 really isn't worth it. And IMO, going with a glass cannon build isn't really a good answer for any relevant endgame.
Thanks.
Yeah this is basically anytime someone either isn't using Tizona or doesn't have AM3 up. And yes the listed sets only have Tizona AM3 up on them.
https://www.bg-wiki.com/ffxi/All_Jobs_Gear_Sets/Blue_Mage
I get that Tizona + Thibron is the best setup for WS spam, generally in a group where no self SCing is possible. BLU's rarely find themselves in the situation and often either solo or end up with the opportunity to capitalize on SC damage. I'm also not wanting to be a complete glass cannon lol. Going DWIV and just using a suppanomi might be something I do since I really don't need more then one acc bonus set anymore. I also like to use Sweeping Gouge since it's so fast casting but could go with Tenebral if I have support.

Still used in some cases today, mostly by JP. The soloing person that is open to limbus parties can put in seeking party type seacom and in the comment say 'Limbus Temenos' or something.
There's also the /autogroup function, which to this very day, I have no clue how it works. There's a spot in the menu for "View Request", which I assume feeds from the pool of players who have their red /autogroup flag on, so you can instantly see who is seeking? I've never seen a single player use this feature since i've even known it to exist, and im positive a large number of players have no clue it exists to begin with.

I would say they use it as their primary form of recruiting, you just wouldn't know unless you went and searched.
I have joined JP Sortie, Ambuscade, even Vana'Bout Ballista matches where all of the JP players had dots in their seacoms either with a message saying what they are interested in doing (so they were recruited from this engine), or if they need an extra body, in the case of ballista, to make the match even. You see a JP shout here and there for filling ambu or sortie, but notice they're almost always 4/6 or 5/6. That's because they've already exhausted the search engine (or static) and now have to resort to yelling. With NA players, it's the opposite, where we shout first to recruit. Seacoms aren't even used unless its HTBF drop or something. If NA players all filled their /seacoms, people would fill their groups much faster, or at least you would know immediately who to recruit based on the message.

The seacom system is entirely player driven, and not what the request system does or uses.
The request system is under party in the vanilla client, and shows you lists of requesters/requestees.
The seacom system is basically if you're doing something, put a comment on stuff to be recruited for, or looking for. Looking for xp/items/crafters, etc. Or mission help. There are separate categories for what type of comment this is.
Still used in some cases today, mostly by JP. The soloing person that is open to limbus parties can put in seeking party type seacom and in the comment say 'Limbus Temenos' or something.

I still see the search comments used by the jp community on my server pretty heavily
Couldn't tell you what they are using them for without a little digging
Conversation came up with someone who was soloing temenos with trusts and was asking about how they could find a party while having trusts out.
When the request system was brought up
And having never used it I became curious.
