Prime stage 4 gets double damage first hits about 30% of the time.
Stage 5 is triple damage first hits 30% of the time.
Emp AM3 is stronger for white damage but Prime is way better than Relic.
Once you have Stage5 GKT you can put all your other GKTs in storage:

2 3 4 are really easy and you should learn them
It enables more damage and more group synergy
Some jobs not just Sam really crank on the second, third fourth ws
Taking a lvl 2->3 is a massive jump doubling the light is worthwhile even with a bad ws.
I forget what the mnk used to use as the opener
Fudo> kasha = fusion + frag(shoha) = light + light(fudo) = double
Asuran> hf/rf/dk = fusion + frag(vs) = light + light(vs) = double
You can also substitute frag for savage blade as stated previously
With all the skillchain bonus gear and the cumulative the light off the fusion is massive

It's really not all that complicated
Whatever your fudo does with masa it's about double.
In limbus it's 22-30k vs ~52-62k
Sortie upstairs is easily 52k vs 99k
Its nowhere near that lol |

If I did it three times in a row I make light, but by throwing evisceration into the mix I take that light skillchain and flip its polarity entirely and make darkness? How is this logical at all.
Examples of these are everywhere, where you take elements that seem to make sense going in one direction and you flip it around completely. THAT'S why it makes no logical sense.
I think your point is valid. Unfortunately, the whole system is very unintuitive.
Few people can read the SC chart and infer correctly what WS is required to make a specific skill chain.
Even fewer people can do what you did, which is to establish that elemental properties of Weapon Skills don't offer hints as to what Property Skillchain is invoked.
I wish I could make it make sense. Dodik did a good job of explaining it directly from the chart ...but I don't think anyone can explain SC changes using fundamental elements (as it pertains to flipping of light and dark) |

Yep it's literally just a data/icons folder with 32x32 pngs. In fact I started with just copying over the buffIcons folder from the XIVParty addon and modified some of the icons from there.

Last thing I've added was tracking the different tiers for the debuffs, and redoing some icons to make them easier to understand what they are.
Just updated the test lab discord with the latest build with that stuff in it, but I think it's probably good to go though.
If we're allowed to set our own icons for this I'm.. I guess I was already sold but damn. |

How much do yall find losing the macc on quickdraw, in return for Mirke Wardecors / Blood mask delay -5, impacts your ability to land QD on endgame targets where it matters?
Main thing I've been caring about landing QD on atm has been when soloing in limbus, light shot is a big life saver for sleeping when I link a bunch of adds and trusts are struggling to keep up on the heals.
Its a pretty huge macc loss though, so I dunno if the delay- is worth it...
Out of the two pieces the head gets slightly more macc on it than the body so id use that if you do want to cap delay. |

My Doji, 500jp, ambu gear Sam can probably do 20k fudo. I saw some prime geared sam doing 35k on the same mob. Big difference but probably not that big.
With all respect, this anecdote is meaningless without context. No idea what buffs were run, how well geared the players were, what you were fighting, was attack capped, what TP value the WS were used at, was def-% on the target? 35k is quite low for a Prime SAM, but if we are talking about a Limbus mob or something, that changes everything.
Anyways, from my observations from other SAMs who have it, it's at least on par with Masamune at 4 (I beat a P4-SAM in Segs with Masamune, but I have R30 Nyame vs his R25, so that's not really a 1:1 comparison), and is much stronger than Masamune at 5. I'd say you're going to be like 15-20% higher WS damage using P5 Mumei vs Fudo.
With all respect your anecdotal observations are as meaningless and you provided almost no information too. Sim says 20% higher dps with capped attack. No skillchain included. No SPs. 10% when attack uncapped. AM3 for both. Spamming Fudo and Mumei. |

So last night my home desk chair died, it is very sad. I have had that chair for longer than I have been with my husband.
I got it in High School when a neighbor was moving out and offered it to me, it was like a $500 chair and was amazing (still is). But all things come to an end, i have had that chair for ~18 years and I have no idea how long it was in use before I got it.
But it is no longer adjusting the height anymore, it is stuck in a single position won't go down or up.
So like anyone got a suggestion for a desk chair?
Maybe the hydraulic cylinder on your existing chair can be replaced? If that remedies your problem it's a pretty easy fix. |

I like Secret Lab's series of chairs, very comfortable and ergonomic.
Can be reclined into a "I'm so lazy while watching videos on the PC" position.
I've had one of these for about 2 years now and I tend to agree. I find it comfortable and haven't had any durability issues with it.
That said I had a Herman Miller since 2008 and it came from an office closure. Other than the gas cylinder going bad, it was in really good shape for being almost 20 years old. It's really well put together.
If you are really attached to your old chair, might be worth looking to see what failed in the assembly and seeing if you can replace or fix it. If the strut is seized then you might just be able to replace it. |

The Shaquille O'Neal Zethus Ergonomic chair was very comfortable to me, to the point I'm gonna get one when I get another job. looks similar to the chair i have, but no leather. I hate leather always feels sticky and gross. |
