you guys just want the game to give you BIS gear for logging in don't you? put everything on login points.

Limbus definitely feels like content for casual/soloers. It's soloable for maximum rewards. There's no meaningful penalty for grouping, so you can easily hop in an existing group if one is going. The big bosses are free entry so anyone can participate with no commitment. Mats for the new gear drop like candy so if you don't want to craft you can be sure the +1s will be dirt cheap and +2s won't be insane.
Pretty sure the AF ecosystem is just meant to capitalize on nostalgia, personally. What part of Limbus do you think is poorly suited to casuals or soloers?

It's wild how unbelievably lazy Square Enix are, they have barely done anything at all to the core game since they launched the PC version (which was already a pretty slapdash port, with many things not working properly).
They are utterly hopeless with live service games.
They never try improve anything, they just leave it going till the wheels fall off. The UI is still built for CRT monitors, the lighting effects are using ps2 ported systems, that are so old it causes issues on many modern cards, they still don't use a proper mipmap system with pre-built textures, there is wild z-fighting cause direct x is so old, it doesn't update things till you zone, it's still locked to 56k connection speeds.
This is not some f2p game like Guild wars 1 either, it's a subscription service with constantly expanding monetization systems.
I cannot even imagine running a business the way they do.
Windower and Ashita are improved for free, more than the game they are used for that makes them millions and has a monthly sub.

FWIW, maybe I've just been lucky but I've never experienced this issue of macros being wiped from my palettes, but tons of friends have experienced it, often multiple times a month.
I'm not convinced it's a home grown FFXI issue, I think it has something to do with an addon, plugin, etc.

I know that if a background process is makeing a lot of read/write actions, on the HDD that the game is installed on, that it can cause temporary game freezes, in particular in instanced zones.
I'm starting to suspect that if this happens while zoning or logging out that it can be the cause of those random macro losses.
Correct, FFXI is written for PS2 where there's nothing else accessing the disk at any given time, so in many, many scenarios when the game client can't load a file, it doesn't think "oh it's busy let me retry", it thinks "oh it's corrupted let's nuke it and start from scratch". |

Yeah seems like that to me too lol. I get embarrassed the next day when that happens but apparently not when its your everyday. I'm like what did I send and to who, imagine that being all the time

This is definitely possible. I don't know what I have personally to keep seeing this one character have his macros turn blank every zone attempt though. When I do a full-shutdown and restore from POL server, the issue goes away for a long time. (Maybe it has to do with a /shutdown in a busy zone with lots of yells vs /shutdown or /logout in mog house? (I know that on Vanilla POL/FFXI, at one point in time, the Macros and Markers in your USER folder would only get saved to disk until the client is /shutdown). |

Seeing as how this is sort of related to the program, Question for simon. Do you have any guesses on what level of defense and vit/agi values current endgame mobs may have (aminon, sortie basement bosses, ody t3/bumba?)
I want to add a target in with maybe slightly closer to proper stats than what is included. I've just been using a 3k defense/375 vit+agi/1740 evasion "Boss" mob I've added for more endgame level gear sims. Assume the vit/agi is prob too low? Def maybe too high or not high enough? Cant really find any info on current endgame mob melee stats beyond evasion levels.

Forbidden Memories is one Im most interested to pick, but the thing is that somehow, brazillian community already owned the game.

Dang...
As Im on a break of Palworld, Ive been feeling the urge to play like anything.
Sure, I spend w way lot of time while playing Palworld last year, but there was an interesting side effect: I could multitask playing and watching/hearing videos, and by doing that, I consumed a shitload of every type of content.
So, in the end, it wasnt a "waste of time" playing. I amassed a lot of knowledge by doing it, even if only partial because I was dividing attention.
Now there are a couple of videos I think very interesting to watch, but that I dont feel like simply standing still watching. I would do if I could multitask with something else, but I have no gaming on, and the other stuffss Ive been doing with my time require full focus (studying and video editing).
Maybe I will pick older games and start recording. I was thinking either redo Yugioh Forbidden Memories, or Digimon 1.

Looking for a stout magic eva idle set so when traversing through Limbus, can resist some of these sleepgas, anyone got a link/guide to some "RECENT" sets with newer gear like +3/+4/null etc

Took me a while as this is completely alien to me, but I got the modules suggested, ran the .py... And it still looks exactly how it does when I run the .exe. It must be a Windows thing or I am missing something.
