Women samurai fought in castle defense which includes fighting outside the castle. I believe that in other battles they were as scarce as hen's teeth. I may be wrong.
But thats what I was saying. Theres a diference between storming the gates and protecting the gates.

Earlier I watched a video about a guy saying how CS big names have been adhering to vibe coding.

His example were footages of Linus Torvald using AI, and a blog post from the creator of ruby on rails defending Ai usage.

Then he mentioned the supposed big one in terms of coding, the Claude Opus 4.5.

I checked some footage of people using it. Feels like it not just accept the prompt, but willingly ask for more information before spitting the code.

Also, it lays out all the steps to achieve the expected product.

The end result is still subpar, but having an AI writing a viable walkthrough for a development is a big thing, at least it has a value as a benchmark and/or help with cold start.

I still feel awkward using text to generate products. Maybe if we could draw stuffs like architecture, and it could go from there, I would feel more confortable in using AI

You can program react to do this
By Kylos on 2026-02-05 14:03:18
Yeah, didn't think to try this until today. I ran the program on my laptop and it runs fine because the recommended default scale is 125%, compared to my gaming monitor which is 150%. The program is likely defaulting to whatever Windows recommends by default.

I am glad to know I can use the program fully in some way in the mean time.

When women fought or if women had to fight?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think women were on the front lines of any battles.

When people think of Samurai, when you ask someone to describe Samurai, what do you think their first thought would be:

A- Katana and/or bow wielding soldier on horseback with large plated armor and a huge helmet with that hair thingy up top. The pre-1615 Samurai
That first thought is wrong. Most Samurai were elite foot soldiers. In that role they also used naganata.

I really like samurai movies. They are however as good at showing real samurai life as American westerns are at showing the actual American west.

Buukki recommended the initial bind, which pairs well with chainspell since it can't do anything but stand there.

The Bind also makes it efficient from a time perspective too, because you don't have to wait for the tank or party to be ready. The moment everyone enters the room, you can buff songs/rolls/place bubbles while the RDM binds/gravity and the PLD flashes to build hate. Once that is done, you can proc Blue with a nuke or break the bind with an Impact, or engage/attack it.

He is unironically killing the game for many players, becasue he is so stubborn into wanting to force players into one avenue of gear upgrades.

Honestly, what's killing the game for me these days is the playerbase more than anything. So much of the playerbase has shifted to multiboxing that if you're one of the rare people who don't, you just struggle to get things done since the multiboxers (in my experience) rarely if ever do things with real people and the other rare single character people tend to either avoid the content altogether or just end up quitting.

Though I will admit, requiring shield crafters for the new gear was definitely a bold choice after saying they'd focus more on solo players.

Anyone else unable to decide on which set they want to work on first, or even piece?

Torn between duty and sworn myself. Play more duty jobs than sworn jobs but sworn jobs tend to be more useful. Units are hitting max need to spend them on something soon.
Both my Murky Ring and Alabaster Earring are in the mid-20's so I'm just going to finish those out while I wait for the +2 prices to settle. On Asura the cost of materials is constantly plummeting (saw one material undercut by 66% from 1.5m to 500k in just one day) so I imagine the gear will continue to reduce in cost. Demand for the gear is going to mostly be limited by how infrequently we can upgrade them with Matters meanwhile supply will continue to flow in steadily.

Stymie for H, best to get that gravity on there ASAP.

Bind, then chainspell gravity on F, he can't hurt do anything when he's bound. Buukki recommended the initial bind, which pairs well with chainspell since it can't do anything but stand there.

Quote:
Half of Japan's Samurai class were women, a groundbreaking exhibition at the British Museum has claimed.
Raise your hand if you believe this?

Please keep your hand raised, I have a bridge to sell you.
Samurai was not a job it was a caste. One could be born a samurai or one could become a samurai as it wasn't a rigid caste system.

To be born a samurai you had to have a samurai mother. So yes, half of the samurai were women.

When Samurai women fought they usually used a naganata*. This BTW is why XI's samurai are the second best polearm user in the game.

Not all samurai were warriors**. All Samurai were expected to fight if needed.

*Naginatajutsu is a women's sport in Japan today. They are often matched against kendoka. One year for Seattle's Bon Odori a naginatajutsu team was brought over to demonstrate the sport and its traditions. Matches were fought between themselevs and also against Seattle kendoka who had never fought against naginata. The results were predictable.

**Some samurai were accountants. Personally I have a hard time picturing a samurai accountant.

Our RDM and myself (when I play RDM) also do what Gavroches said, however, just this past week, Aita resisted the second Gravity after Spontaneity for the first time in... ever (dozens of runs). RDM was forced to Chainspell to get it to land, which could have been scary if he suddenly entered ice mode and we couldn't land it. I've heard from others that Chainspell is safer and faster in the rare event the second Gravity misses. Very uncommon for that to happen, though.

None of them are so much better that its worth stressing over.

Just replace your current weakest piece

Anything special to get it to pop? 9 tem kills today with no pop

Some people seem to have the idea that it's around 20 ITG kills for each zone once the window is open. Apparently they sat there counting it up a few times, but they admit they couldn't account for other players in the zones.
By gavroches on 2026-02-05 08:04:23
We don’t use chainspell for either, stymie F and spontaneity H (actually land 30% on first, 55% on second and yes 5% on third). Aminon chainspell is where the fun is (or was as we don’t do sortie no more). Can also use chainspell for some really bad H exit, which has happened a few times.

Don't necessarily need R30 to see what it'll be at R30, just have to have the path started to associate the gear with the augment ID and you can look up the augment or memory/packet edit the gear to show what it'll be at R30.
